Traitors on Peacock – Did you watch it?

New year, new blog post! It’s been about 3 years since my last post, and I thought I should get back into this again.

So here’s the latest on my TV watching… Traitors!! Have you seen it? First, let me tell you about how I stumbled upon it. I came across an article in Parade Magazine which was about how there will be THREE “Challenge” vets on this series called Traitors – Season 2. My daughter and I are obsessed with MTV’s The Challenge and will watch anything that Johnny “Bananas” is in. He’s not even our favorite (let’s be honest, Wes is our FAVORITE) but no one can deny that Bananas is entertaining. He makes good TV.

Traitors – Season TWO?! I never heard of Season ONE! So we decided to binge watch it the first season to prepare ourselves for what’s to come. Season 1 featured half the cast as “celebrities” (using that term loosely) and half as average every day people. It appears that Season 2 will only be celebrities, however.

Some of the bigger names on this season are Ryan Lochte (Olympic swimmer), Cirie Fields (from 4 seasons of Survivor and the latest season of Big Brother), Brandi Glanville (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), and Cody Calafiore (Big Brother winner).

The premise of the show is that there are “traitors” and there are “faithfuls”. The faithfuls have to figure out who the traitors are and the traitors get to “murder” one cast member each night. There is a banishing ceremony each night as well where each person gets to cast a vote for who they think the traitors are and the person with the most votes will be banished. The majority of the time they are wrong and they vote out a Faithful. At the end, if there are any traitors left in the game, the traitors win and split $250k among whichever traitors are left. If the Faithfuls are successful and vote out all of the traitors, the remaining Faithfuls will split the $250k among whichever Faithfuls are left.

I was expecting it to be like The Mole where the Traitors have to sabotage missions, but there really wasn’t anything like that. So aside from “murdering” someone each night, there’s really no clues for the Faithfuls to go off of when trying to decide who might be a Traitor. That was what I saw the biggest flaw of the show is. It was a bunch of people just looking at someone saying “I know you’re a Traitor” and them saying back to them “no, I swear I’m not.” There was nothing concrete to base any suspicions on. I read that there will be some changes to Season 2, so I’m hoping that one of the changes will be that the Traitors actually sabotage the missions so the Faithfuls don’t build the prize pot or something along those lines.

Season 2 of Traitors premieres on Peacock on January 12, 2024 and the cast is: Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen (Love Island), Chris “C.T.” Tamburello (MTV Real World and The Challenge), Dan Gheesling (Big Brother), Deontay Wilder (Boxer), Ekin-Su Culculoglu (Love Island UK), Janelle Pierzina (Big Brother), Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio (The Challenge), John Bercow (UK Parliament), Kevin Kreider (Bling Empire), Larsa Pippen (The Real Housewives of Miami), Marcus Jordan (Basketball Player), Maksim Chmerkovskiy (Dancing with the Stars), Mercedes “MJ” Javid (Shahs of Sunset), Parvati Shallow (Survivor), Peppermint (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Peter Weber (The Bachelor), Phaedra Parks (The Real Housewives of Atlanta), Sandra Diaz-Twine (Survivor), Shereé Whitfield (The Real Housewives of Atlanta), Tamra Judge (The Real Housewives of Orange County), and Trishelle Cannatella (The Real World: Las Vegas).

Colton Underwood IS Gay – Called it!

Back in 2018, i published a post titled Is Colton Underwood Gay? All signs were leading to YES!! He even said several times that the majority of his life he’s been doing things just to please other people and not to make himself happy. There will be a Netflix special that covers his coming out and all of that. Not sure how exciting that will be. We all knew it!!!! I am happy though that he is finally living his truth!!

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way couple: Jihoon and Deavan – snug condoms, another pregnancy, lip injections, and more!

On this week’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Deavan is preparing to move back to South Korea to be with her husband Jihooon. While showing what she’s packing, she holds up two boxes of condoms and says this time she got the “extra snug” condom so that it won’t fall off like it did previously when she got pregnant with their son, Taeyang, the first time they had sex together. Many people took this to mean that she was insulting the size of Jihoon’s penis. Deavan defended her statement later in social media by saying that he knows how to work it just fine.

And that must be the case because not long later, she was expecting another child with Jihoon. Deavan announced in September 2019 on her Instagram that she had been pregnant with another child, but sadly they lost the baby.

A lot of people have been asking if I am pregnant. I haven’t address this head on yet. I want to first start off by saying, thank you so much for your support and love. With heavy hearts we have to announce sad news. Last Monday we did end up losing our baby. We are heart broken and focusing on healing. I want to apologize for not telling anyone sooner. Not long after that, Deavan went through a horrific botched lip injections, as reported on Blast.com. She got the injection in South Korea with an untested substance. Deavan admits she did not research it well enough ahead of time. During the next few days, her lips began to swell developed lumps and sores and began to peel. Even after the healing was done, she still appeared to have lumps. Deavan and Jihoon were traveling to Las Vegas and so she reached out to 90 Day Fiance alum, Larissa, who gave her the name of Heather the owner of Center for Aesthetic Medicine & Human Performance, who was able to treat Deavan. After four days of treatment, she was able to dissolve the bad filler and restore Deavan’s natural plump to her lips.



While Deavan was in Vegas, she also reportedly got her teeth fixed. According to Taste of Reality, Deavan had veneers put on her teeth. The transformation is stunning!

Big Brother 2020: Season 22: Familiar Faces

Rumor has it Big Brother 22 will start airing in just a few weeks! It is rumored to be an “All Star” season, but that term is being tossed around a little loosely. Based on the cast I’ve seen revealed, it seems a title of “Familiar Faces” or “Home Again” might be better terms than “All Star.” Swaggy C, for isntance, finished in 15th place on his season and is supposedly returning to BB22.

So this is the rumored cast. My favorites would be Tyler, Paul, Nicole, and Dan. Janelle, Julia, and Josh (just a coincidence they’re all J names) are ones I could live without!! I’ve also seen rumors that Kaycee is going to be on, even though she’s not in this image. So really, I think very few people know FOR SURE, but what we do know is that BB22 is FOR SURE going to air this summer and it will be all returning players. Which houseguest would you like to see return? If the above list is correct, which of these do you wish weren’t going to be on the show?

According to US Weekly, the new season is currently scheduled to premiere July 22nd. The houseguests will need to be sequestered longer than usual which will include a 14-day quarantine due to Covid-19 risks.

I cannot be more thrilled that we will still be getting a summer of Big Brother (eventually)!!

My Covid-19 Guilty Pleasure: 90 Day Fiance

I believe it was in April, I posted on Facebook that I was out of ideas of shows to watch while we’re home for the Stay Home Order in Michigan. I asked for suggestions and a few of my friends suggested 90 Day Fiance. Admittedly, I had never heard of this show before. When I looked it up I was shocked to see not only 7 seasons of the original series but also spin-off series, “Before the 90 Days” and “The Other Way”, along with “What Now?” and the Quarantine special. Holy moly, I had a lot of watching a head of me.

So fast forward to two months and I have no completed all 7 seasons of the original series, 4 seasons of “Before” and now I am halfway through Season 1 of “The Other Way”. I expected a trainwreck, and well, let’s be honest a lot of it IS a trainwreck, but what I didn’t expect that I got out of it was so much education. I have learned about other countries, cultures, religions… it really has been eye opening. I wish that I had written this blog as I went along because now there’s just sooooo much that I could cover. So this is kind of just the intro to a new series of posts I will be doing in the upcoming days, weeks, maybe even months.

So stay tuned, but in the meantime, tell me who your favorite couples are or your favorite couples you love to hate? Personally, I grew very tired of Darcey Silva after 4 seasons of her on “Before the 90 Days”.

Is Colton Underwood Gay?

Spoiler alert on Bachelor in Paradise if you haven’t watched tonight’s episode yet…

On tonight’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise, Colton reveals that he’s basically just been going through the motions with Tia in order to make her happy. He confesses his whole life he has just done things in order to please others – including playing football.

Now, I don’t think there’s a possibility he might be gay just because he’s not falling hard for Tia. I’m also not saying there’s anything wrong with being gay. But what is wrong is breaking women’s hearts in order to protect his image. It’s hard enough to buy that he’s actually a virgin, but now I’m starting to think maybe he just hasn’t had sex with women.

Normally I would say one’s sexual orientation is not anyone else’s business, but he IS on an extremely popular reality TV show that’s being broadcast nationwide so I feel like it’s okay for me to speculate.

I truly hope if he is gay, he is able to live his truth and have the support of his family. I’m honestly still a big fan of Colton despite the ladies, including Raven, warning Tia about Colton. I still think he’s a sweet, good guy, just very inwardly conflicted. Get it together, dude!!!

***Update 9-4-18, 9:55 am EST – THIS JUST IN – Colton will be the next Bachelor! I’m assuming it will be women vying for the roses and his affection. Will he finally find true love? Or will this just push him further into the closet and he will keep living a lie? Thoughts??

The reason Megan left Big Brother 19

Apparently PTSD from a previous assault is the reason Megan Lowder left Big Brother 19 (2017).

In this video, Megan apologizes for leaving the show and hopes that her fans will read her story.  In the Desert Sun article, Megan states:

“When I was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, I was sexually assaulted and I got really bad PTSD from it,” said Lowder who served in the Navy.

“So in the house… I had a lot of guys yelling at me and attacking me and it started really affecting me and making my anxiety severe and I was starting to get physically ill. I was throwing up, I had diarrhea, I was nauseous all the time.”

I was a fan of Megan’s and I felt bad nobody defended her when she honestly thought she heard Jessica call Alex a “Panda” but really she called her “Pao Pao” referring to a house guest from last season.  Sad to see Megan go!!!  Hope you are doing well, girl!

Bachelor in Paradise shuts down production!

UPDATE: Corinne claims she was too drunk to consent and is now saying she was assaulted.  She also tells fellow cast members that she has a boyfriend back at home and would never have let this happen to jeopardize what she has back home. So why is she on Bachelor in Paradise if she has a boyfriend? Investigation continues…

TMZ just released this crazy story about DeMario and Corinne getting so down and dirty in the pool in Mexico that they had to shut down production in order to investigate the allegations. It appears DeMario and Corinne have been fired and the rest of the cast have been released while the investigation is ongoing. Any one else surprised by this? It’s a dating show. It’s called Bachelor in Paradise. They cast sleezy people. What do they expect to happen? I’m just surprised that there IS a low that is too low even for Bachelor Nation. Not sure why other sex acts have been ok in the past but this went too far. This will be interesting to see how it plays out!

A look at Rachel Lindsay first day as the Bachelorette

On the “After the Final Rose” aftershow of the Bachelor finale, Rachel Lindsay was surprised when Chris Harrison informed her that her season of the Bachelorette was going to begin right then and there on live TV.  Rachel then went on to meet four of the men that will be appearing on her season.

Well Chris Harrison wasn’t fooling around when he said that it was beginning now because it looks like filming in front of the actual Bachelor mansion began tonight!  Take a look at creator’s Mike Fleiss’ Twitter pic below.  Doesn’t she look beautiful?!

Vanessa Grimaldi, Bachelor “winner”, has acting past

Radar Online reported that Vanessa Grimaldi, the so-called “winner” of the recent Nick Viall season of The Bachelor, was an aspiring actress and has her own IMDB page.  She has appeared on Blue Mountain State in 2010 and Being Human in 2011.

Twitter followers were shocked by this information and doubted that she went on the show “for the right reasons.”  Let’s not be naive here, folks.  Any of the gorgeous people on Bachelor/Bachelorette seasons could clearly go on match.com or use some other service to find themselves a mate.  A big draw for anyone to find love on the show is that it is in fact ON TV.  No matter what your career is, I am sure you are hoping it will get a boost by being on TV.  What person in their right mind wouldn’t want to make more money if they could?

Sure it makes for a cuter story that he fell in love with a special needs teacher from Canada, but I don’t think people should be freaking out over the fact that she dabbled in acting.   It also makes sense as to why she would be so willing to live in L.A. while Nick is filming Dancing with the Stars.  She also seems like someone who would want to keep a tight rein on her man.

Do I think Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi will stay together?  Absolutely not.  It is very rare in Bachelor/Bachelorette history for the couples to actually get married and these two just don’t seem to have what it takes.  Nick went for the type of woman he’s generally attracted to and those aren’t the type of women that will work out in the long run for him.  He needs to stop going after women that will “challenge” him.  He needs to find a smart woman he can have meaningful conversation with (sorry Raven fans, she’s not the best match for him either) but not someone who is looking to get upset over things or pick fights.
