Chris let 3 more go home during the episode 3 rose ceremony. Updated grid below…
Chris is sleeping and in sneaks Jimmy Kimmel of all people. Chris’ response “What the f….?!” Haha Jimmy assures him they are going to start an amazing journey together.
At the ladies’ house, Chris Harrison explains that there will be another man in their lives this week… Jimmy. In walks Jimmy and the girls giggle and scream. Jimmy says there’s a new rule in the house. Any time you say the word “amazing” as they do OFTEN on the show (Jimmy usually keeps track of this on his late night TV show) then you have to put a dollar in the jar. “By the end, we should be able to buy this fantastic house” Jimmy jokes.
Jimmy leaves the first date card. “Dear Kaitlyn, you and Chris are about to join an exclusive club.” Also something about high ceilings, hors d’oevers and sweeping view. The limo then takes Kaitlyn and Chris to Costco!! Kaitlyn looks alarmed that they’re actually getting out of the limo there.
They then read a note from Jimmy said that this is what normal couples do with their time. He instructed them to pick up something to cook him for dinner and also gave them a list of things to buy from him, here’s a few: beef jerky, jeans size 32, and enough ketchup to fill a hot tub.
Back at Chris’ place, they begin to make dinner together. They get to talking and Kaitlyn goes on and on about how she actually liked how normal it was. She can do crazy stuff another time. Yeah right, she was totally disappointed…. I think she’s just saying that because she knows that’s the right thing to say.
Jimmy joins Chris and Kaitlyn on the date and starts questioning Kaitlyn and Chris questions that make them uncomfortable…. including questions about the “fantasy suite.” Jimmy asked Kaitlyn if she would be mad if Chris had sex with all three final girls in the fantasy suite if she ends up being the one he ends up with. She said no, that she understands the need to test drive before making the decision. Completely awkward conversation. Jimmy’s advice to Chris was to have sex with as many women as possible before the show is over.
Back at the mansion, the second date card arrives: “Britt, Jillian, Becca, Tracy, Makenzie, Kelsey, Amber, Ashley S, Juelia, Samantha, Nikki, and Carly – Are you ready to meet some REAL party animals?”
Jimmy hands Chris a rose to hand out to Kaitlyn and he launches into a speech and Jimmy keeps interrupting and teasing Chris. It was pretty funny. Of course Chris gave the rose to Kaitlyn and she accepted it, obviously. Date night ends with them making out in the hot tub and Jimmy sneaked in with them.
Back at the mansion, Jillian is working out like crazy. The girls say she works out all day long. Again her crotch area is censored out and I truly believe it’s just because Jordan (I think it was) last week said she’s hairy all over. She’s wearing boy shorts, I really don’t think anything was probably sticking out. The Bachelor producers/editors are just poking fun at her now.
The next day, Jimmy takes Chris and the dates to a farm. “Hoedown Throwdown” Jimmy says is the game of the date. There are 5 different tasks. First corn shucking, then finding eggs in a chicken coop, crack it in a frying pan without breaking the yolk, then milking goats – fill the mason jar, then drink it, then shoveling manure, then wrestle a greased pig and place him in his pen. The girls take off and start shucking corn, then race to the chicken coop. Makenzie gets disqualified for breaking the egg yolk. Jillian starts chasing around the boy goat trying to milk it. Carly was the first to chug the goat milk. Kelsey has a problem chugging the milk. Carly, Kelsey, and Jillian are the final three chasing pigs around. Jillian’s butt is being censored out again the whole time. But Carly ends up winning it all! So Chris and Carly get to dress like farmers and have their picture taken together. Chris says he respects a girl like that that can put everything into that sort of task and have a great attitude about it.
The evening portion of the date has started and it’s cocktail hour and Carly immediately pulls him aside. And she does this cheesy “You are a man and I am a woman…” and goes in for a kiss. Amber then asks Chris to dance. Totally awkward without any music, but they start kissing. Then he kisses Jillian. Then Makenzie confronts him about kissing everyone. Chris starts sweating and says that he’s just being himself and it’s part of a relationship and he’s just putting himself out there. “Yeah, I was just curious…” Makenzie says. Then she goes back to the girls and relays the conversation to them and is just very giggly and immature about it all. He then talks with Becca and he goes in for a kiss and she kind of denies him and just gives him a hug. She said she just doesn’t want to rush anything. “I need to earn it!” he says. She says in her interview “I just hope you don’t need to kiss to get a rose.” Good for her for not kissing though and doing what feels right for her. If you do need to kiss to get a rose then she still did the right thing. That’s not the right kind of guy then.
Back at the house again… Date card: “Dear Whitney: Today is going to be fun – no whining!” Whitney begins to cry, she’s really excited to finally get to spend time with him.
On the date again… Chris greets the group of ladies and is going to hand out the date rose. He gives it to…. Becca! So therefore you don’t need to kiss to get a rose! Good for her! Carly is not happy she didn’t get it.
Whitney and Chris take a limo ride out to wine country and have a little picnic together. “Roll the Cob” is what Chris says he’s looking for…. someone who can just “Shoot the shit” and make friends with anyone. They then spot a couple having a wedding. Whitney talks Chris into crashing the wedding. Chris suggests changing before they crash it. So they get all dolled up. And the cameras stay way back so it doesn’t blow their cover. Their plan is to tell everyone the taping is done, they’re engaged. Chris was really nervous but Whitney was just able to roll with it. Whitney was great and so confident and cute. How cool would it be having the Bachelor crash your wedding and have portions of your reception on national TV?! Nick and Shannon are lucky! Chris seems very smitten with her. I feel like she’s the front runner as far as who he could take home to mom and spend the rest of his life with, not just spend the night with. He gives her the date rose and says that she made the date.
Next morning… Chris and Jimmy are seen showering together. Jimmy tells them there isn’t going to be a cocktail party and instead there will be a pool party and Chris will be there in one hour. Juelia takes Chris aside during the pool party to talk to him her late husband committing suicide. She ends up telling him this horrible story and just sobbing about it all. It was really heavy and Chris doesn’t say much of anything but hugs her and comforts her. He tells her her daughter’s going to be fine because she’s got a great, strong mom. The way she talks reminds me so much of Shane Lamas from that Brittish Bachelor season… what was his name? Matthew or something. Anyway, she’s like a younger Shane Lamas. I don’t think she has as much depth as what he’s looking for but I don’t think he will cut her this week.
He then sits with Britt, and they make out and make the other girls jealous. Jade then takes a walk with Chris to get a tour of Chris’ place. Jillian with her censored bikini decides to wait for him in his hot tub. Jade and Chris then lay down on his bed and make out… Jillian… still in the hot tub. So Jade leaves them and Chris joins Jillian. Then other girls sneak up and join them. Jillian basically tells them to go away for awhile. Jillian is just too manly… she scares me. Meanwhile Ashley I, Makenzie, and Megan are spying on them and see them making out so they decide to crash the hot tub. Ashley I. gets really upset that Jillian’s not leaving and not letting her have any time with him. She walks away and starts crying.
Finally Chris comes in the mansion full of girls and pulls Ashley I aside. They try to talk about it but Ashley starts laughing/crying and it’s really awkward. Chris said that he felt it was awkward too and he doesn’t always know how to react. He hugs her and then they start making out. Ugh the kissing noises are so yucky.
Rose ceremony: roses go to… Jade, Samantha, Juelia, Mackenzie, Kelsey, Britt, Megan, Carly, Ashley S (really?!! She’s CRAZY), Nikki, Jillian, one rose left….. goes to…. Ashley I. Those going home are Amber and two girls I don’t even remember seeing before….
Next week’s episode looks good!!
In the season premiere last week we saw the contestants, old and new, be paired up with their exes. A few of them have had long relationships where others were just a one time secret fling. Some couples quickly learned they need to communicate in order to make it to the end while other couples have a long way to go and still harbor bitter feelings from the past.

Okay, so this is the second part of episode 3 (click here if you need the recap from Part 1). What I would love is if they just did one one-hour show a week. These two hour blocks with essentially two episodes rolled in one just kind of annoys me. I don’t like the 2-hour long show trend, but that’s just me and my ADD talking. It’s longer than a lot of movies! But I digress…

In last week’s episode, Vivica Fox came down on Shawn Johnson in the boardroom for slacking off because she was on her period. Shawn didn’t approve of Vivica telling Trump about her woman issues and at the end of the episode last week confronted Vivica once the ladies were back at the suite. The episode tonight picks up where that left off. Shawn told Vivica it would be like her saying on national TV that she (Vivica) is going through menopause. Shawn was embarrassed that it was said on TV.
Terrell Owens and Geraldo walked back in the suite and, like last time, the women were happy to see Geraldo and the men were not. I sure hope Geraldo is brought back in the boardroom every episode until he is gone.
In the morning Trump greets the teams to tell them about their next task. The task deals with Cosmopolitan magazine and the teams have to come up with a four page fitness exercise and editorial to be featured in the magazine and the app. The three criteria they will be judged on is: creativity, originality, and overall presentation. On the men’s team Johnny Damon steps up to be their project manager and Jamie Anderson volunteers to be the women’s. Being both athletes, this makes perfects sense.
The women are throwing out ideas of what their focus is going to be. Jamie suggests “natural beauty”, but the women think it needs to be sexier than that since it’s for Cosmo magazine and their main focus is on sex. So Kenya comes up with this “Touch Me” theme “wherever you touch her is where you’re going to work out,” she explains. Someone else says “Yeah, we can show Kenya doing squats and say ‘how do you get the Kenya Moore booty?'” and Brandi quips, “you just buy it.” Kenya gives her a glare, and I laugh! Jamie, by the way, is not 100% on board with this idea but she wants to keep the peace among the women so she decides to roll with it.
On the men’s team, Geraldo suggests a “Selfie” theme. In case you missed it, about a year ago Geraldo put a half naked selfie on Twitter, with the caption that read “70 is the new 50,” he wrote, adding “Erica and family are going to be so pissed…but at my age…” and it went viral.
Okay, for 70, it’s not bad… but ewww, it’s still Geraldo.
Geraldo and T.O. then comes up with the tagline “Love Your Selfie Naked.” Johnny suggests using his wife who is a swimsuit model. Geraldo then does all these sexy poses with Johnny… Johnny handled it well but looked so uncomfortable as Geraldo embraced him. Then another pose with Johnny bending over and Geraldo standing behind him. I’m not bothered by homosexual activity, but again, it’s Geraldo… ewww.
The women decide to use Brandi and Jamie in their photos and Kenya gets a little bent out of shape about it. Brandi was the first to say Kenya shouldn’t be in it. Jamie agreed and said she would deal with the editing. Kenya politely walks away but then mumbles under her breath “bitch is dumb as rocks.”
At the photo shoot, Johnny and his wife at Michelle pose naked together while taking selfies and Lorenzo is directing the still photo shot of them taking selfies of themselves. Have to admit, the pictures are pretty hot!
The women decide on the theme “A touchable body for a champion challenge” I think is what they said. Kenya is directing the fitness model shoots and critiques Brandi’s posing. Those two are just oil and water. Brandi says again that her butt is real unlike Kenya’s and she just can’t making it pop out.
The men continue to work well together. Lorenzo appears to be a great director. Very encouraging yet quick, efficient, and precise. On the women team… Kenya really keeps egging Brandi to take off her clothes and Brandi doesn’t want to. She said she hasn’t hit the gym in two months, she’s been hitting the potato chips. But then just to spite Kenya, she ends up nearly taking everything off and gets in hot poses with the athletic model.
The women start putting their four page editorial together and Leeza feels it is not cohesive enough. In parts of it they have the athletic side to things but then the other half is geared more towards sex.
The men’s team starts falling apart a bit. Ian had an idea for a pole dancing article. He wrote a page long article about his wife taking pole dancing classes that he wanted in it. Geraldo disagreed with the length (I actually agree for once with him) and Ian was arguing his point and Geraldo just walked away. Geraldo said in his interview that he just feels Ian is a prick. So they take pictures of Ian standing next to a pole with a very athletic looking woman on it and it just looks awkward. Ian is all dressed up and just looking straight ahead while this woman is to his side on a pole. Just strange and not sexy. Sorry Ian!! Oh but then Geraldo strips down and starts lifting weights and walking around the studio. T.O. said he should have kept his pants on. Geraldo decides he needs to replicate his original selfie. Ugh.. okay now THAT is really not sexy… I’d rather have Ian with the pole dancer.
Presentations: The men’s posters look great despite the fact that Geraldo’s got a little picture of himself on there, but at least it wasn’t the main focal point. The women… Jamie’s presentation wasn’t very exciting, but Kenya kind of pumped it up. I like the complete look of the women’s the best. I’m not sure if it needs more content though, but overall I like the women’s better.
Boardroom time: Geraldo tells Trump he liked his slogan “Love Yourself” better, but overall he thinks they did a good job. Kenya thinks they won and tells Trump that she thinks she was the star. Jamie agrees that she was good. Brandi is asked how Kenya did and her response is “I think we won” and tried avoiding the question. Brandi tells Trump that she thinks Kenya is evil.
So what the execs didn’t like about the men’s editorial was that there weren’t simple takeaways that the readers could do to do the exercises at home. The women’s team, the execs didn’t love the disconnect with the “touch” theme… it felt like three separate spreads and not one cohesive. So with that, the men won and Johnny’s charity gets $20,000.
Now it’s the women showdown… Jamie is asked whose fault is it for the disconnect in the spread. She says “The Housewives” meaning Brandi and Kenya. Leeza says she would fire Kenya because she was most directly involved. Brandi says she would fire Kenya or Kate because she goes shopping for hours. Kate says she would fire Brandi for bringing so much negativity. Vivica says the girls who have been driving her nuts are Brandi and Kate. Leeza defends Brandi and says she’s been working extremely hard. Jamie decides to bring back Kate and Kenya! Yay Brandi is safe! In the lobby, Kenya tells Jamie it was a big mistake not bringing Brandi back.
The three women walk back into the boardroom and Jamie is now flipping and saying she doesn’t know if she made the right decision on who she’s bringing back. Prediction, this flip flopping behavior is going to get her fired. Jamie says it’s not too late for him to call Brandi back and fire her and both Trump and Don Jr say “yes it’s too late.” And with that Trump fires Jamie for being too indecisive. I’m okay with that. She’s so sweet, and maybe she didn’t really deserve to be fired, but she’s not much of a fighter to stick around either.
On last week’s episode we saw Chris Soules get introduced to 30 beautiful, and soon-to-be intoxicated, women. At the end of the night he eliminated 8 of them. However, as the episode was drawing a close and Chris was toasting the remaining ladies (they clearly needed more champagne), one woman was not going to take no for an answer. We saw Kimberly walk back in and ask Chris if she could talk to him. So that is where episode 2 starts off….

I missed the first hour of the Golden Globes last night and therefore missed the monologue done by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. I read comments on Facebook and Twitter regarding their monologue and the jokes they poked at Bill Cosby, so I almost didn’t watch the monologue for myself. I felt I pretty much got the gist of what was said. However, I am happy that I took the time to watch the ten minute opening myself. Even though I already heard many of the punchlines, it was still funnier to see it played out. No one was off limits… George Clooney and his wife, Emma Stone’s big, creepy eyes, Joaquin Phoenix, the civil rights movement… it’s all in there and all funny. So if you haven’t had a chance to watch it, it’s well worth it to take the time to do so. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are just comedy magic and am sad this is their last year hosting the Golden Globes.
People Magazine has reported that Andi Dorfman and the man she gave the final rose to, Josh Murray have called it quits! But how is this possible when we just saw them on The Bachelor Live Premiere on Monday?! They did reveal at that time that they haven’t set a wedding date yet, but that’s not all that uncommon for a newly engaged couple that just met on a reality TV show and are still getting to know each other.
