It’s Official! Next Bachelor is Sean Lowe

Not that it’s any surprise at all after America fell in love with Sean Lowe on Emily’s season of the Bachelorette, but I am still ecstatic at the official news he is the new Bachelor.  ABC announced officially just moments ago what we had all figured out already.  I loved Sean in Emily’s season and I am sure he will make a great Bachelor.  Anything has to be better than last year’s pick, right?  Show will premier in January.

Michael Stagliano redeems himself in blog

I watched, with millions of others,  Monday night when two bombs were dropped on Bachelor Pad Season 3 Finale .  The first being that it was revealed that Michael Stagliano was a total douche bag and played Rachel like a fiddle to get further in the game.  As it was said many times in the finale, Rachel Truheart was falling in love and Michael Stagliano was not, however it seemed that Michael did not let Rachel in on that important fact until after the show.   The second bomb came when Rachel’s partner, Nick Peterson, decided to keep the money ($250,000) and not share any of it with her.  I don’t care if it is a show and a competition, that was still not the right thing to do.  And I guess you could say that the proposal between Tony and Blakeley was a shocking bomb as well, but eh… I just can’t get excited over it.

So that was my overall feeling of the finale until a few moments ago when I read Michael Stagliano’s blog on Parade.com that details what really happened, how sorry he feels to Rachel, and his thoughts on Nick taking the $250,000.  When he states that the time that Rachel and he first kissed and him being kicked off the show was only the span of 8 days, that totally redeemed him in my eyes.  EIGHT days.  EIGHT days and she’s falling in love and somehow within those EIGHT days, he was supposed to tell her that he wasn’t feeling as strongly for her back.  Also, he points out that although she said it to the cameras in interviews, she never told him she was feeling that strongly.  How was he to know he was going to hurt her so bad by not reciprocating the feelings back?  Don’t get me wrong, I still feel bad for Rachel that her heart was broken, but she acts like she had intentions of marrying him when really they are just getting to know each other.  EIGHT days.

While I had already been in agreement with Michael’s assessment of Nick taking the money, I am a bit surprised, but pleased, that he feels this strongly about it and that he’s willing to come forward with his opinion on it.   Michael states, “I am simply pointing out that at the human-to-human level… just caring for another person on this planet, having the ability to change their life in a positive way with $125,000. I think that denying that to them when you have the chance…That is NOT the kind of person I respect, or that I want to be, or who I want my kids to be.” Amen, Brother!

So I am happy to report that I was wrong about Michael, once again, and in my eyes he has redeemed himself.  I am thankful he wrote the blog he did because I really did want to like him.  I wish he and his new girlfriend all the best!

Bachelor Pad 3 FINALE Recap

Can’t believe this is the last episode of Bachelor Pad Season 3!  The season went by so fast… all eight episodes of it.  This show, along with Big Brother, was definitely the highlight of my summer TV viewing.  I have been waiting a whole week for this finale!  Looks like we’re in for some shocking surprises (or at least that’s what Chris Harrison promises).

As always, I fast forward through the opening teaser as to hold the surprise until the actual moment when everything is revealed on the show.  No spoilers for me, please!

Okay, audience clapping, Chris Harrison walking out.  “Tonight is going to be insane,” Chris says.  Then he welcomes back those who were cast off during the run of the show.  Hahaha…. Jamie is introduced and it’s dead silent.  No one applauds for her.  Then the typical video montage of the recap of the season.  The hookups, the love matches, the drama.  Lindzi and Kalon then confirm that they’re still together.  Erika Rose then says she has seen Kalon around town at different events with different girls, including his ex girlfriend.  Lindzi’s face immediately gets very serious looking and she looks hurt.  Erika just offered a warning to Lindzi to be careful.  Kalon says the girls were just friends.  Suuuuuuuuure.

Michael Stagliano’s up first in the hot seat.  They recap his part on the show including his romance with Rachel.  Erika says she was really betrayed by Michael because they were friends.  Jaclyn says Rachel is still upset and hurt by Michael dumping her after the show.  He says Rachel was falling in love, he just wasn’t.  Jaclyn says she feels it was bullshit all along.  Michael never intended to have any kind of relationship with her despite the fact he called her his girlfriend.  Oh Michael… how you have let me down!!  Not the nice guy I thought he was.  At this point I feel bad for Rachel.

Jaclyn’s turn in the hotseat!  She looks really cute tonight in a hot pink dress and her hair done really well.  Recap of her up and down relationship with Ed and the backstabbing by Rachel.  Jaclyn is still very hurt by Rachel ditching her at the last minute.  She says it’s unforgivable.  Jaclyn says the relationship hasn’t been the same since and she’s still really angry by it.  She says she really thought she was going to win.

Blakeley in the hot seat now. Watching her get burned by Chris in the recap and her blossoming relationship with Tony.  Chris asks Blakeley about animosity between she and Jamie.  Jaclyn tells Jamie she is fake and socially awkward and doesn’t know how to talk to girls.  All so very true!!  Blakeley says that Tony lifted a weight off her shoulders and she just loves him and sometimes she feels like it’s just too good to be true.  And he just lets her be herself.  I feel a proposal coming…. I’ll be shocked if this episode ends and Tony doesn’t propose to Blakeley.   ** Commerical break **  Back with Blakeley and Tony.  Chris is just going on and on questioning Blakeley for why she likes Tony.  She seems to be getting more and more nervous.  Like she knows something is up too.  They make this big announcement to the group that they’re moving in together.  She’s moving to Portland, OR.  Here it comes….. Tony says he can’t picture her not in his life.  He wants to show her he wants to spend the rest of his life with her.  Then he gets down on one knee and proposes.  “Are you f***ing kidding me?”  she says.   She says yes!!  What an odd pair!!  hahaha  I cannot even believe this.  Jaclyn’s in tears and one of the first to hug her.  So funny.  Congrats Blakeley and Tony!

Nick and Rachel, Chris and Sarah come walking out now.  Rachel looks hot.  She seriously looks amazing!  Love her black dress.  Sarah just looks ordinary, but that’s kind of what I like about her.  Rachel addresses Michael and says that she’s confused because she really saw that he was into her.  Michael says he didn’t want a long term or long distance relationship.  Rachel says she has since found out that he’s in a long distance relationship with a girl in Chicago.  Nick says it was his game play to stay under the radar and stay out of the drama.

Onto Chris and Sarah…. Chris says it’s been hard to watch on TV the situation with Blakeley and Jamie.  His family was disappointed in him.  He knows he’s going to hear from the girls, but he’s already heard it from his father, his sister…. everyone.  He seems very emotional and sincere and he’s sorry who he hurt along the way.  Jamie says that she doesn’t think he would have been a good father for Emily’s daughter Ricky.

Now it’s time for the former housemates to ask the finalists questions.  Jaclyn says she just wants to know why Rachel didn’t put up a bigger fight for her and why did Nick have the last say.   Rachel says it wasn’t easy, she just knew she couldn’t win against them.  Lots of tears by both Rachel and Jaclyn.

Jamie and Blakeley immediately begin to start attacking Chris.  Chris says don’t vote for him then… vote for Sarah.  She played the game well, she deserves it.

Sorry but Rachel and Nick do NOT deserve to win.

Voting has begun…. going to reveal the votes one by one.  16 votes total.

Michael votes for…..Rachel and Nick

Jamie votes for…. Rachel and NIck

Kalon votes for…. Chris and Sarah

Ed votes for… Rachel and Nick

Blakeley votes for… Rachel and Nick

Dave votes for…. Chris and Sarah

Erika votes for… Chris and Sarah

Reid votes for… Rachel and Nick

Lindzi votes for… Rachel and Nick

Donna votes for… Rachel and Nick

Tony votes for… Rachel and Nick

Jaclyn votes for… Rachel and Nick…. the deciding vote to make them the winners of the money.  Jaclyn says she’s played a loyal game and she’s going to stay loyal.  Booooo!

But what will happen now…. Will they split the money?  Find out after the break………………. half hour left in the show… there must be more drama coming.

Nick and Rachel have to go off into a seclusion room separately and there are two cards that read “KEEP” or “SHARE”.  If they both choose the KEEP card, no one wins the money (actually it’s split up among the castoff contestants), if one choses KEEP and the other chooses SHARE the one who chose keep keeps the money.  If they both choose SHARE then they will split the money.

Results… Rachel decided SHARE… Nick decided KEEP.  WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Shocks EVERYONE!  He gave a speech about how she never wanted him as a partner.  He did it all on his own.  Whatever!  If she wasn’t in that partnership they would have never received the final votes to even get him to that decision.  I am shocked.  Nick couldn’t be less apologetic about it.  Rachel is crushed and Nick is laughing.  What a schmuck.

Bachelor Pad 3: Episode 7 “She’s Dead to Me”

This is going to be a quick recap.  I actually watched the show hours ago and decided not to recap as I went along.  However the more I thought about the show the more it inspired me to at least write SOMETHING.

So here goes…. the first challenge had one member of each couple dangling above a pool on a platform held up by 3 ropes.  The other member of the group had to answer trivia questions about Bachelor Pad episodes or people.  If that person got a question wrong, a rope was cut that was holding the platform up.  Get three questions wrong, the contestant then had to hold on just by a bar with their body dangling.  They fall, the couple is out.  First couple out of the competition is Blakeley and Tony.  Next couple to drop is Rachel and Nic.  It’s down to Ed and Chris and so far Sarah has gotten every question right.  Then Sarah got a question wrong but Ed is now just dangling using his own strength to keep him up.  He falls after not too long and Chris and Sarah win the competition.  By winning they get to choose which couple leaves the show for good.  No big surprise that they chose Blakeley and Tony to leave.  I feel bad for Tony because he was only leaving because Blakeley was his partner.  Feel bad for the guy… he’s hopeless in love with her for some reason, and she looks like she’s going to ditch him the first chance she gets.

Next the remaining contestants find out that they have to perform “Sister Christian” on stage in front of the band Night Ranger and 600 people.  If any of the six of them could sing even a little bit, they would have won by a mile.  Rachel did the best out of the six, but that’s really not saying much.  Jaclyn forgot all of the words and she and Ed just looked like a train wreck up there.  I really thought they would have been the best.  Sarah and Chris performed exactly how I predicted.  Very stiff and awkward.  God love Sarah, she tries so hard to be cool, but really she’s a big nerd.  I dig it, but she doesn’t belong on stage.  So Rachel and Chris were the clear winners that no one saw coming before the performance.  They had to make the difficult decision about who to send home.  Jaclyn and Rachel are best friends, but Nic just keeps talking about the money and how they have to keep their eye on the prize, etc.  He keeps reassuring her that her friendship will be okay.  Yeah, I can see Jaclyn saying sometime over coffee, “Hey, remember that time you screwed me out of $250,000?  Good times.”  In the end money won out over friendship and Rachel and Nic chose to discard Jaclyn and Ed because they would have clearly won in the finale.  Jaclyn says, “She’s dead to me.”

So the finale is down to Chris/Sarah and Rachel/Nic.  I think Chris and Sarah are the clear winners.  I do like Rachel a lot, but she and Nic didn’t really do much to play the game.  Chris slept with three women and still made it to the finale.  That has to be a reality tv first.  Who does that and gets away with it?  And it’s not like the other women didn’t know it… they all knew it… and he still got away with it.  They both have had huge targets on their back and still managed to make it to the end.

My prediction would be that it’s going to be a boring finale because we can predict the winner, however the teasers for the final episode are GOOD.  Looks like Michael Stagliano broke Rachel’s heart and says some really horrible things on the finale.  Then there’s something SHOCKING that happens that has everyone’s jaws dropped and freaking out.  Maybe Kalon proposes to Lindzi?  Whatever it is… MINDS ARE BLOWN and I can’t be more excited for next Monday to get here!

Randy Jackson out as Idol judge, Nicki Minaj in?

TMZ just reported that Randy Jackson is officially out as a judge on American Idol. Producers plan to keep him around in mentor type setting for contestants though.  Sources say that the deal with Nicki Minaj is just about a done deal.  As reported previously, Mariah Carey who is replacing Jennifer Lopez is not a fan of Minaj’s.  Of course this should make for good tv… If anybody actually tunes in.  Anyone else feel that American Idol should just put a fork in it and call it done already?

Other news that has now come to light is that there will yet again be a fourth judge at the table.  Apparently someone in the country business.  Although the third judge hasn’t been filled yet, producers are still going ahead with this plan.  Sigh… I feel like they are just grasping at straws here and by having four judges they’re just hoping that someone likes at least one of them enough to tune in.  Thoughts? Leave me your comments below.

“Trust Us With Your Life” cancelled following arrest

ABC decided to pull the improv show “Trust Us With Your Life” before the season was over because of Fred Willard’s arrest, according to Yahoo News. Willard was arrested two weeks ago for “lewd conduct” inside an adult movie theater.  Willard was ordered to a diversion program in order to avoid being formally charged.  The last two original episodes of “Trust Us With You Life” will be replaced by reruns of Wipeout.

I personally think this is a bit extreme.  We have celebrities arrested on DUI and drug charges all of the time and unless it interferes with production, they’re usually not fired from their jobs.  To have a whole show taken down just because he took his member out of his pants at the adult movie theater, I think is too much.  He is 72 years old… he didn’t hurt anybody.  What an embarrassing ordeal.  Comment your thoughts on this.

Big Brother: Should coaches get the chance to enter the game?

At the end of tonight’s Big Brother 14 episode, Julie Chen (who has AMAZING hair this season, I have to say) announced that America will have the choice in deciding if the coaches should have the chance to play in the game for the prize of $500,000 instead of staying coaches for a chance to win $100,000.  You can go to www.cbs.com/bigbrother to vote.

From the standpoint of both a coach and a regular contestant on the show, I wouldn’t want the coaches to come into the game.  As an at home viewer, I don’t feel as strongly, but I still wouldn’t want them to enter the game.  These are my reasons:  I have enjoyed the new element of the “coaches.”  It adds a whole different dimension to the game that we have never seen before.  Do the contestants stay true to their coach and team mates or do they go out on their own and not worry about that?  If I were a coach, do I think I could enter the game and honestly win the $500,000 against the remaining players or wouldn’t it make more sense and have better odds of winning the $100,000 and only competing with 3 other coaches.  I would like my odds better for the $100k.  If I were a contestant and the coaches entered the game I would also be unhappy because they were able to coast the first 3 weeks and were never in jeopardy of getting kicked out.  Not only that, but they have a better idea of everyone’s game plan because they were assuming the role of “coach.”

I think Dan and Britney are at a huge disadvantage right now having only one player left each.  They’re kind of screwed either way if they stay as coaches or if they enter the game.  Mike “Boogie” is probably the smartest player even though he is cocky and smug as all get-out.  He still has his remaining three players so if he stays as a coach, his odds are good of getting to the end, and if he goes in as a player his odds are good that his players will stay loyal to him and turn on him.  Janelle has the same numbers involved, but I don’t think she’s as strategic of a player and I’m not sure her team would stay loyal to her.

This isn’t Big Brother All-Stars, so I would really like the coaches to remain coaches.  As Britney pointed out, there are not enough contestants to last the whole season though, therefore it seems there has got to be some sort of twist involved.

Let your voice be heard!  Go to cbs.com/bigbrother to vote.

American Idol finalists announce they are dating

When I look at my blog stats at what search terms people have used to find my blog, it leads me to do some Google searching of my own.  For instance, any time I mention Eric Trump, I get visitors who are searching “Eric Trump gay” for some reason.  Just mentioning his name usually gets me a few extra hits on my blog that day.  So I once Googled to find out, is Eric Trump in fact gay?  Why not, right?  Although there appears to be some speculation, everything points to a negative on that one.  Though I commend Don Jr for being open about supporting gay marriage.

So today, I looked over the search keywords and two people had searched “colton and skylar dating” and found my blog.  I must have mentioned during American Idol that it appeared they were dating.  How quickly we forget about people once shows are over though, because I never gave this another thought.  Well, sitting home bored tonight, that prompted another Google search.  What I found is that Skylar and Colton are no longer dating, however just last week, DeAndre Brackensick confirmed that he and Jessica Sanchez are in fact dating!  Didn’t see that one coming!  I never really thought about it much, but I guess I kind of figured that DeAndre didn’t go for girls.  Good thing for Jessica he does!  Now that their 15 minutes of fame are over (for now) at least they have found each other through this.  Here’s to the young, happy couple!

Bachelor Pad Season 3, Episode 1 Premiere Recap

This season of Bachelor Pad features fifteen castoff from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” and five “super fans” who move into the Malibu mansion and compete for $250,000 at the end.  Judging from the previews, it looks like this season will have even more drama, tears, and hookups than ever before.  I enjoy Bachelor Pad maybe even more than the Bachelor/Bachelorette series because the competitions and strategic part of the game adds a whole other level of excitement and suspense for me.

The first couple minutes are all teasers of what’s to come in this season.  I always fast forward this part because I don’t want anything to get spoiled.  I want to see it all happen as it gets played out in the show.

Chris B, Emily’s season, newly kicked off the Bachelorette.  He’s looking forward to maybe finding love with someone else on the Bachelor Pad.  He’s hoping Lindzi from Ben’s season will be there because she’s really stood out to him in the past.

Lucky for him, Lindzi from Ben’s season is on the show after getting her heart crushed by Ben.  I’ve always liked Lindzi.  I thought she seemed like such a sweet girl.  She’s going in with her guard up because she feels now that she knows she can’t just trust anyone.

Reid, Jillian’s season.  Got his heart crushed by Jillian and says that Ed better not get in his way of cozying up to another girl.  “Payback’s a bitch” he says.

Ed, Jillian’s season… they were together for about a year, he says there is some truth to what was in the tabloids about him cheating and he definitely wasn’t ready to be in a serious relationship.  Grrr.  I liked Ed too and never wanted to believe the tabloids.  Sad to find out he really did cheat on her.  He says he’s out to win the money.

Blakeley from Ben’s season.  She has since become a waxing technician (or whatever it’s called).  All she does is wax people all day, she says.  But she also says she’s grown a lot since being on the Bachelor.  I would have to believe that being shown in the light she was is not easy to take.  She’s hoping Jaclyn will be on the show because they’re “buddies.”

Jaclyn, Ben’s season, reveals that Blakeley thinks that they’re friends, but really they’re frenemies.  She says she has a college education so she’s clearly going farther than Blakeley is.  I wonder what the story is there… why Blakeley thinks they’re friends if the girl hates her.

Kalon, Emily’s season, feels he’s only a villain because he spoke his mind to Emily.  Kalon says he’s going to ruin everyone’s f’ing summer.  Yeah, this guy has no class.

Paige, 24, super fan.  Super smiley and “like omg!” type girl.  She wants Chris to be her partner.  She’s a little overboard bubbly.

Chris B “SWAT”, 28, SWAT officer, super fan.  Kind of a badass dude, except that he LOVES watching the Bachelor/Bachelorette.  He’s a hopeless romantic and wants to go on the Bachelor Pad to find true love.

Donna, 22, superfan, hot girl, but knows she’s hot.  She says she wants to be in a bikini  24/7.  She reveals that Michael Stagliano is her crush and could ruin her game.  Of all the guys, she could have the hottest one, and she chooses Michael??  That’s a little strange to me, though I do think he’s sweet.  She says they’re definitely going to hook up.

David, 28, super fan, like Lindzi and Blakeley, but overall in it to win the money.  He is an MMA fighter.

Brittany and Erica T, twins, 22, count as one vote, super fans.  Erica is a virgin and Brittany is “definitely not a virgin.”

Just realized this episode is 2 hours long.  Wow, 5 hours of the “Bachelor” series spinoffs in two days.  That’s a bit much, even for me!

Limo arrivals are starting… Chris is the first one to get there.  He still can’t wait to meet Lindzi… who happens to be the next one out of the limo so it’s just the two of them in the mansion.  Then Ed showing up in white pans and pinkish maroon blazer.  Wow, that boy still can’t dress.  Nick from Ashley’s season now shows up.  I barely remember him from her season.  Rachel from Ben’s season shows up and Lindzi’s face just drops.  There must have been bad blood between them on Ben’s season, but I don’t even remember that.  It’s all a blur now!  Sarah from Brad’s first season… sent home on the third episode.  I didn’t catch the beginning of Brad’s first season so I’ve never seen her before.

In walks Ryan from DeAnna’s season… also known as the 28 year old virgin at the time, and now he says he’s the 32 year old virgin.  Hmmm…not sure this is the right show for him.  haha

Then Reid walks in and Ed is like, “Heyyyy, what’s up, bro?” and gives Reid a big hug.  Hilarious! Ed then mocks Reid for swooping in and proposing to Jillian right before Ed could.  Reid laughs, but I bet inside he really wishes he could just punch him.

Jaclyn comes in  and the girls from Ben season are just awaiting the arrival of Blakeley.  Tony from Emily’s season comes in, Chris shouts “Tony!” and that’s all we see of Tony’s arrival.  haha.  Blakeley’s arrival totally overshadows Tony’s.  Jaclyn and Rachel are already badmouthing Blakeley.  And of course the girls act like they’re all buddy buddy when she walks in.  Sooooo fake!  Okay, back to Tony now…. he’s hoping to win the money AND fall in love.

Jamie, from Ben’s season, arrives.  She’s the one that had the painfully awkward date with Ben where she told him how to kiss.  Even Chris says “I remember her as the crazy kisser.”  Michael Stagliano, Jillian’s season also Bachelor Pad 2 winner.  This time he’s back just to have fun and find love now that he and Hollie are officially over.  Erica Rose, Lorenzo’s season and Bachelor Pads 1 and 2 back again and reveals that she went to the tabloids about Kalon because they know each other from the Houston social scene.  That’s awesome!  Kalon pulls up in a sports car.  Erica starts freaking out.  She immediately confronts Kalon and says she wants to him to stop attacking her appearance because she’s worked really hard on it.  He says he was just brutally honest.

Now the super fans all begin to arrive.  Donna starts freaking out and is in awe of Chris Harrison.  She squeals every time Chris says her name.  The girls immediately hate on her for her nice body and tight, short dress.  Chris “SWAT” arrives, then bubbly Paige, followed by David, and then the twins.

So now everyone’s settling in, drinking, and Ed gets naked in the pool.  Yeah, Ed is seriusly not ready for a serious relationship.  Chris Harrison walks in, and Ed gets out of the pool, goes to the living room, still naked.  Even Chris doesn’t know what to say about that.  Ed is completely lit.
He walks off as Chris is still explaining the rules and goes back in the pool.  Chris explains they have to partner up immediately.

Reid picks Paige because she’s super sweet.  Erica Rose picks Nick.  Blakeley and Chris partner up.  Blakeley is already in his face and telling her do not go talk to the other girls.  Kalon and Donna partner up.  Jaclyn settles for Ed because everyone else is already matched up.  She’s so screwed.  haha.  Ed is just completely drunk and making an ass of himself.

Next morning… Ed is completely hungover.

Competition time… each couple will get inside a heart and it will tilt over time.  The couple to stay the longest win the rose, and a one on one date with each other away from the house.  The couple that loses gets an extra point against them in the elimination.  Everyone’s in the hearts and they’re going up in the air.  They begin to tilt and this looks super hard.  Tilting again,… Erica Rose and Nick fall out first.  Eric is devastated.  Then they all start dropping.  Down to Brittany and David (fans) and Reid and Paige.  Everyone wants Brittany and David to lose, but Reid and Paige go out first.  David, Brittany, and Erica win.  Everyone’s mad at the twins and want them out but now they have immunity.

David is of course stoked to go out on the date with the twins.   Of course they decide to go skinny dipping.  Why not?

Blakeley is already trying to control Chris and being completely psychotic about it.  Jamie pulls Chris aside to talk.  Chris makes a move to kiss her.  First kiss in the house!  Go Chris!!  Jamie’s not my favorite, but happy for Chris being a man and making a move.  Of course Jaclyn, loving to stir the pot, goes and tells Blakeley right away that Jamie pulled Chris into the bedroom.  Blakeley obviously wigs out about it.  Blakeley BUSTS in the door and “makes the whole situation negative” Chris says.  Chris is saying he didn’t do anything wrong, what was the point of her busting in on him.  Blakeley is of course hurt and she feels disrespected.  Really though, they were partners for a DAY.  She’s being a little over dramatic about it.

Next morning the strategizing begins.  The superfans trying to vote Erica Rose and Nick off because they already have votes against them.  Dave went to Erica Rose and flat out told her he was voting for her off.  Michael Stagliano reassures Erica that he won’t let the super fan call the shots.  Erica tells him she’s going to make his life a living hell.

With Dave drawing the line in the sand between the fans and the veterans, it puts a target on Chris “SWAT”‘s back because he’s the only male fan left.  Basically fan Chris doesn’t have a chance.  Poor guy.

Bubbly Paige is being reassured by Reid that she’s not going home, but Michael informs Reid that the guys are voting for Paige.  Michael tells Reid who’s voting for Paige and who’s voting for Erica.  But it looks like if Reid votes for Erica, then Paige might be safe.  Reid thinks he can convince Kalon to vote for Erica instead of Paige as well.  Kalon voted for Erica.  Now it comes down to Chris SWAT’s vote.

Rose ceremony….. Roses go to Lindzi, Chris, Sarah, Ed, Rachel, Reid, Jaclyn, Michael, Jamie, Kalon, Blakeley, Ryan, Donna, Tony… two roses left…. Nick… so that means Chris “SWAT” is going home and Erica Rose.  So Paige is going home.  “SWAT” smiles and you can tell he didn’t vote for Erica.  He wanted to stick it to David.  SWAT tells Erica he didn’t vote for her.  Poor Paige… she was a sweet girl and would have been cute with Reid.  The rest of this season looks great! Kind of surprised there wasn’t slightly more drama the first episode, but that’s okay because I know it gets better!

Mariah Carey – New Judge of American Idol

TMZ has just reported that Mariah Carey will be one of the new judges of American Idol season 12.  She reportedly signed on for a deal worth $12 Million.  I see this as being an even worse decision than Britney Spears judging the X Factor.  Mariah Carey is known to be a diva and a train wreck.  Maybe married life and parenthood has changed that, but somehow I doubt it.  This decision made me say, “Really??  That’s the best they could get?”  Don’t get me wrong, Mariah is a phenomenal singer, but the girl lacks substance.  I hope the next judge they get is a rocker or someone that can balance out Mariah’s flakey-ness, and NOT Adam Lambert.
