The Bachelorette – Kaitlyn, Episode 7 Recap: Kaitlyn’s funeral and sex scandal!

This has seriously been a fantastic season! At the end of last week’s episode we saw Ian start to tell Kaitlyn how shallow he thought she was. Basically, she wasn’t giving him enough attention. She was kissing on everyone else and not kissing him and he was feeling rejected so he decided to reject her instead and hurt her. Now this episode starts the dramatic conclusion to that conversation…

The speech she gives him was clearly rehearsed in his mind over and over. He’s almost shaking as he says it. He clearly knows his words are going to hurt her and that’s his full intention. He finally finishes his speech and she asks “so you don’t think I’m here to find a husband?” he says “not from what I’ve seen.” She admits she’s not as deep as he is, but says there are parts to her that he has not seen yet. “Do I like humor? Yes. Have I seen that from you? No.” He then questions how important humor is in a relationship and stands by his argument that she’s “surface level.” He ends with “and that’s what I have to say.” and Kaitlyn responds “and you feel good about that.” And out walks Ian. In the getaway car, Ian further trashes Kaitlyn and boasts how deep he is. He says he’d be a great Bachelor. Women would line up to be with him because he’s oh so deep. Then it ends with him saying “man, I really need sex!!” Yeah buddy, you’re so different from every other guy on the planet! Your mom would be so proud of you. *eye roll*

Nick goes to see Kaitlyn to make sure she’s alright. Nick confesses that Ian talked to him the night before about his feelings. He tells her that he wants everything that Ian is looking for and he is still there. He sees all those things in her. Meanwhile, the other guys are a bit annoyed that Nick was the first one to talk to her after Ian left. But guys!!! You snooze you lose!! Be more aggressive and show her you care! Sheesh! Let’s just throw a pity party all the time… grow some gonads! Finally Shawn goes to interrupt but he finds Kaitlyn and Nick really kissing. It really sets him off and he has to walk away.

Kaitlyn has a moment to fill the guys in on what Ian said to her. Then Chris Harrison whisked her away to prepare her for the rose ceremony. The guys walk down to The Alamo where the rose ceremony will take place. Roses go to…. Jared, Chris, JJ, Joe, Ben Z (a bit surprised by this one!), and the final rose goes to Tanner. Joshua and Justin did not receive roses and will be going home. Poor guys. 😦 I don’t think they’re right for Kaitlyn, but I do feel bad for them. Chris Harrison then announces that they will be off to Dublin, Ireland next. Joshua can hear the rejoicing while he’s doing his exit interview and it’s just heartbreaking!! He should have kept his cool, but I really do feel for him.

The gang arrives in Ireland and the guys are so excited. Their digs are way cool at Radisson Blu. Kaitlyn meets up with the guys there and tells the guys the one-on-one date starts now. No date card, she announces that Nick has 10 minutes to get ready and then their date will begin. Nick and Kaitlyn stroll through a park, they’re very touchy-feely with each other and then they come across BIRDS!! Kaitlyn has an irrational fear of birds. So that was a funny moment. Then they came across street dancers and joined them in an Irish jig. It was completely adorable. The two really can’t keep their hands off of each other. They have a very hot physical connection.

At the guy’s place the date card arrives: Tanner, Ben Z, Shawn, Jared, Ben H, and Chris. Which leaves JJ and Joe for a two-on-one date. I really hope Joe stays!!

Evening portion of Nick’s date with Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn confesses that she was hoping it wouldn’t be all that good just to make it easier on her, but it really is that good. Nick is just so confident…. even when he’s not speaking that eloquently, he really gets his point across in a very romantic fashion. She gives him the date rose and then asks if he wants to go back to her hotel room. The look on his face was priceless! He was definitely surprised, but excited, and definitely not saying no. They make out in the living space area of her suite then move to the bedroom and shut the door, but the camera keep rolling…. recording every sound Kaitlyn and Nick are making. This is the part that makes me uncomfortable. There’s people standing right outside the door! I understand they have this crazy physical connection, and given if it were a real relationship off camera I’d say go for it, but they’re not in a monogamous relationship yet AND it’s being filmed for TV. I think she should have waited (following the advice of Patti Stanger from Millionaire Matchmaker – “no sex before monogamy!”) but I can understand why she got caught up in the moment.

The next morning, Kaitlyn is definitely feeling guilty for doing this to the other guys. She asks the producers “has this ever happened before?” Nick tells JJ and Joe that Kaitlyn invited him back to her suite. “It was casual, we just talked some more.” Then the other guys come in the room, and he tells them as well that she invited him back to her suite and they just “talked” but it was very “intimate.” The wind has been totally taken out of the guys’ sails. They look completely deflated at this point.

Group date time…. Chris Harrison tells the guys that Kaitlyn is dead (for today) and they are going to celebrate her with a traditional Irish wake. They go in a pub and Kaitlyn is there in a coffin and she can’t stop laughing. Chris Harrison explains to them that each one of them will stand up and give a toast about Kaitlyn. They all do a great job and take it all very lightheartedly. Ben Z then asks everyone to leave the room. It was just a bit real to him dealing with the death of his mom and he gave a really sweet tribute to Kaitlyn. It was a really fun date to watch.

Evening portion of the group date… Kaitlyn is smiling and laughing with each of the guys that take her aside to talk to. It’s refreshing to see the lightheartedness on this date instead of the drama and the heaviness. At the same time, how can she feel okay with having just slept with a guy the night before? I’m so torn watching this!!

Then Shawn gets time with Kaitlyn and he shares pictures of his family with her. She makes him feel comfortable again in their relationship. But then she gives the date rose to Jared and Shawn looks crushed again. He feels like he’s getting mixed messages from her. Jared and Kaitlyn get to continue their date while the rest of the guys go back to the hotel. Jared and Kaitlyn then go off to a cathedral where the freaking CRANBERRIES are playing!!! I’m in heaven! Absolutely love The Cranberries and love that Kaitlyn loves them as well!

Meanwhile, Shawn is really having a hard time dealing with Kaitlyn choosing Jared to spend more time with. He vents to a producer and says he can’t do it, he can’t do it anymore. He got back to the hotel and he’s still stewing. He says he’s not going to make it through this thing because he can’t handle it anymore. He goes to Kaitlyn’s room to talk to her. And then another cliffhanger!!! Ahhhhh the show is killing me!!

The Bachelorette: Kaitlyn: Episode 5 Recap – San Antonio, TX

Last week on The Bachelorette we saw Kaitlyn decide to bring Nick back and the episode ended with him about to enter the men’s hotel room to meet the guys. Also, there weren’t any rose ceremonies so I’m expecting a rose ceremony early on with this new episode.

So we’re in New York and Nick enters the hotel room with the guys… and it is AWKWARD!! The stare down begins. The guys are all on one side of the room and Nick is sitting on an empty couch on the other side of the room. The guys start bitterly interrogating Nick. They are firing questions left and right questioning his intentions for coming on the show and if he’s just chasing fame. Joshua takes issue with Nick calling Kaitlyn a “cool chick.” “Is she a ‘cool chick’ or an ‘amazing woman’?!” he asks. Joshua and Shawn seem the most irritated by the Nick situation. Ben Z is feeling a bit insecure.

Cocktail party time…. this time it’s at CitiField. They gather in a fantastic suite in the stadium and Kaitlyn is visibly nervous about Nick being in the room with all of the other guys. JJ takes Kaitlyn out on the baseball field and carries her around to all the bases. She was laughing and says that was exactly what she needed to loosen up a bit.

Shawn sits down with Kaitlyn and tells her that it’s hard for him to let his guard down. Kaitlyn tries reassure him, but he is brutally honest and says that he thought she would be smarter than that. She said, “do you trust me? Do you trust my decisions?” He sighs and says something along the lines of “I don’t know if what you’re saying.. if your actions match up.”

Rose ceremony: Ben H, Ben Z, Shawn, Tanner, Joe, Ian, JJ, Joshua, and…. dun dun dun!! Nick. The guys going home are Corey, Jonathon, and Ryan. I’m not too sad about these guys that are going home, but a little bit Corey. Although I do think he was a bit too vanilla for her. She needs more flavor than that, but I liked him… for what it’s worth.

The gang has now moved on to the warmer climates of San Antonio, Texas! They are staying at the St Anthony Hotel. The first date card arrives: “Ben H: Let’s take our love one step at a time”. She picks him up in an old fashioned Ford pickup truck. Meanwhile the guys are trying to be cool with Nick, but it’s still awkward as all get out. Doesn’t help that Nick is giving advice from a “veteran” so-to-speak, on how the Bachelorette works. Yeah, this might not be a time to show how knowledgeable you are about how the show works, buddy.

Kaitlyn and Ben H pull up to a dance hall and they will be entering into a two-stepping contest. There is an instructor teaching them the steps and Ben H is definitely not a natural! But they look like they’re having fun. The contest starts and they make it through the first round, but they’re out in the second round! They’re so freaking cute together though!! At this point, Ben H is the frontrunner for me.

Next date card arrives!! Justin, Jared, Ian, Chris, Tanner, Joe, JJ, Ben Z, Joshua, Nick, “I love a man in uniform”. Shawn cannot contain himself, he is BEAMING!! This means he gets the one-on-one date.

Kaitlyn and Ben H sit down for dinner and Ben struggles with opening up. He explains that in his last relationship his ex said that he “lost the chase” even though he says his whole life centered around that relationship. He finally tells Kaitlyn that he does like her a lot and he’s ready for a commitment and wants to see where things go with them. She in turn, of course, gives him the date rose. He told her that he feels lucky to be there with her.

Group date time! This is going to be good! The group is in a Mexican restaurant and a Mariachi band comes out and a 12 year-old boy is serenading Kaitlyn with a love song. He then tells the guys that they will be writing their own Mariachi songs and performing them out in the square in public. Ian is super confident and Kaitlyn says in her interview that she would love to see his sense of humor, if he has one. Ouch! Burn! It’s showtime… the guys come out all decked out in Mariachi band uniforms. Justin came out first and actually didn’t do too badly!! JJ tried to show off by playing the guitar himself, but he totally screwed up. Jared was completely funny with his. Joe ended his song with a kiss which seemed to impress Kaitlyn. Ian turns out to be all talk and completely bombed. He choked and then he got really down hard on himself. Joshua’s was just as terrible as the other ones. Then Nick comes out and did something more grandiose and took her up on the balcony. He was horrible but so completely funny. Nick really picks up on how pissed off Joshua is that he’s around. He comments that all of the guys have actually been pretty cool to his face, but he thinks Josh is going to explode.

Evening part of the group date… Joshua takes Kaitlyn aside first and tells her he has complete trust in her and tells her she can cut his hair any way she chooses. So she starts cutting his hair and the clippers die in the middle of it and she completely butchers his hair. The guys just DIE laughing at him when he comes back to the group. One comments that it looks like his head went through the woodchipper. Nick then takes full advantage of his time and begins his time by kissing Kaitlyn. Nick comes back to the group after his time with Kaitlyn and Joshua then decides to confront him. Josh tells Nick he doesn’t trust him. Nick says he doesn’t need Josh to trust him. Josh is just fuming though. Josh then decides to go back to Kaitlyn again to tell her how he feels about Nick. Josh tells Kaitlyn that Nick just never stops talking about his last season. Josh tells her that everyone doesn’t like him. Kaitlyn says “so everyone is lying to my face? Why is no one saying this to me?” Now Kaitlyn says she’s questioning everybody if no one is telling her that the guys are still hung up on the Nick issue. Josh rejoins the guys and tells them he was in an interview, but they all know he was talking to Kaitlyn. So Ben Z, especially, is bothered that Josh is now lying to them and he doesn’t get why. So Kaitlyn walks in the room and asks the guys if everyone is being honest with her. Then she calls Josh out about him saying that no one is being honest with her. The guys don’t have Josh’s back because in reality Josh is the one that’s been the biggest ticking time bomb about this whole Nick ordeal. I think the other guys have rolled with the punches and it’s not an ideal situation, but they’re making the most of it. Meanwhile, Josh has just been so focused on Nick that he lost sight of everything else. Ending that awkward confrontation, Kaitlyn then gave the date rose to Nick… ensuring he will be around for at least another week.

Time for Shawn’s date with Kaitlyn! They get to go kayaking… something Kaitlyn has never done before. I had no idea San Antonio was so pretty! Makes me want to visit there. During their conversation, Shawn says he feels bad for Josh because he feels he was coming from a good place and he thinks that other guys do feel the same way he feels but are afraid to speak up. At the evening portion of the date, Shawn explains he was in a really bad car accident and he was in the hospital for a couple months. He then tells her that he’s falling in love with her. She gives him the date rose and then they go out on a canoe and fireworks burst in sky.

Back at the house, Ian is throwing a pity party for himself because Kaitlyn isn’t giving him enough attention. Cry me a river! He thinks he’s a great catch…. good looking, smart, Princeton graduate, former model, defied death… and he just doesn’t find Kaitlyn interesting. He said he’s never felt like he’s followed under the radar before. What’s really going on is that he’s going to reject Kaitlyn before she has a chance to reject him first. He wants her to hurt because he is hurting. What a baby!! This is clearly coming from a place of insecurity.

Cocktail party! Kaitlyn has alone time with Jared and she tells him that she trusts him and he gives her comfort. He tells her he’s really falling in love with her. Then she has alone time with Joe and the other guys can see her kissing him. Meanwhile, Ian is going on and on about how he’d make a great Bachelor and he’s so wonderful and his ex girlfriend is hotter than Kaitlyn, and he’s used to getting a lot of chicks and having a lot of sex. Wow, could he be any less attractive than he is at this moment?! He has never looked so ugly as he does now. So he gets a chance to sit down with Kaitlyn and he says this isn’t a vacation for him, and then he had the audacity to say to her, “I came here thinking I would meet the girl who had her heart broken by Chris Soules, not the girl who wanted to get her field plowed by Chris. I feel you’re here to make out with a lot of dudes. I see you as a surface level girl at this stage and I wonder if you’re really that shallow because I don’t see anything below that surface.” TO BE CONTINUED!!!!! ugh!

Lucky for me I watched this episode a week late and I get to watch the next episode tomorrow and not have to wait a week!! Next week, er tomorrow, is the episode we have all been waiting for where she has sex with one of the guys…. just don’t know if it’s Shawn or Nick or maybe even someone else!! Seriously though, I have mixed feelings on that, but it’s still fun to watch the romance either way. Oh I’m such a sucker for this show!!

The Bachelorette: Kaitlyn – Episode 5 Recap – Nick enters the picture

This past week was the longest week ever waiting for this episode to air! While US Weekly magazine and others taunted us with their covers of the Bachelorette scandal, I’ve been dying to see it unfold on TV. I’ve avoided reading the articles in the magazines and online of Kaitlyn saying she’s tired already of the “slut shaming” so that I can openly form my own opinion based on what I see with my own eyes – albeit, through the producer’s subjective editing. So let’s get started! [update: turns out the sex scandal doesn’t start in this week’s episode]

Last week’s episode ended with Kaitlyn getting word from all the guys that Clint is more here for JJ than he is for Kaitlyn. She was about to kick him to the curb when the dreaded “to be continued….” appeared. Now tonight’s episode is starting… Kaitlyn is walking outside and Kaitlyn says “Clint has no idea what’s in store for him…” She said at this point there are just too many red flags and the guys are reporting that he’s the biggest douche in Bachelorette history. She pulls him aside, away from the rest of the guys. She confronts him and he cuts her off and says “Did I disappoint you on our date? (No) Did I disappoint you a few minutes ago when we talked?” (No, but in between). He goes on to defend himself saying there are haters in the house and that he’s grown close to JJ. He says he’s been nothing but nice to everyone in the house. And he just has a hard time opening up and he would appreciate it if she could be patient with him through this process. I’m screaming at the TV “Don’t fall for it, Kaitlyn!!!!” She says she’s really upset because she really really liked him. He says “so what? we’re done.” She says “We’re done.” Yes!!!!

She brings Clint in the room with the guys and she announces that she’s sending Clint home. She says she’s shaking and she doesn’t know what to else to say and that she’s sorry for another dramatic cocktail party. Then!!! JJ!!! flips on Clint and says, “I think you need to apologize for taking the energy out of the room. As your friend, I think you need to say you’re sorry.” Clint says, “I need to apologize?” Tanner thinks that Clint is more upset that JJ turned on him than Kaitlyn sending him home. Clint and JJ then have this awkward confrontation. They’re talking about two inches from each others face. It looked completely set up to me. “I’ve told you shit I haven’t told anyone” JJ says to Clint. Really seems like bad acting, playing it up for the cameras, giving people something to talk about. Then again, JJ is legitimately crying out on the terrace. “Son of a bitch. Suck it up.” he says to himself. So what’s the verdict? Is this for real or not?

The guys all discuss how JJ’s true character showed when he turned his back on his best friend. Tanner refers to it as “Brokeback Volcano”.

Chris Harrison arrives and says it’s time for another rose ceremony. Kaitlyn tells the guys that her mind isn’t really made up yet and asks Chris if he can talk for a minute. Chris Harrison and Kaitlyn enter the room again and address the men. She said she feels good about everyone that’s left in the room right now and there won’t be a rose ceremony.

Chris Harrison then tells the guys they’re leaving the mansion and in the morning they’re going to New York City! They won’t be returning the mansion in L.A. again. Woohoo! I love the travel aspect of the show!

So NYC! The guys have arrived and now so has the date card: Jonathon, Justin, Ben Z, Corey, Ryan, Tanner, JJ, and Shawn “Let’s keep our love fresh.” Kaitlyn meets the guys at “Stage Forty8” and she then introduces the guys to Doug E Fresh!!! Jonathon is excited!! Shawn is a little scared because he has country music roots, not rap/hip hop. Doug E. informs the guys that they’re going to do a rap battle in front of a live audience. Doug E calls out the guys asking who they would like to battle. Shawn says Justin, Corey vs JJ, Ben Z vs Tanner, Jonathon vs Ryan. The guys get right to work on their raps and Doug gives them each pointers.

They’re about to go on stage and of course JJ admits he has never listened to rap, he listens to Broadway Show tunes. The guys start performing and they’re all pretty terrible until Corey gets up there. He was awesome and way smoother of a rapper than I ever thought he would be. He had some good burns against JJ too!

After the performances were done, Kaitlyn was told Ashley from her season of Bachelor was watching on the side. So she ran over to say hi to her and then she turns around and there’s NICK from Andi’s season!! (dun dun dun! So THIS is how Nick gets on this season!!) She is so giddy in her interview explaining how they struck up a friendship over social media when he contacted her during her season and said he liked the way she carried herself. I mean, she is completely freaking out right now that he is there. Blushing, giddy, the whole nine yards. There is no doubt there is chemistry there! She pulls him aside and he then tells her, “the face that you could potentially get engaged… and I wouldn’t have met you… kind of…. bugged me.” He says he would totally regret it if he didn’t try. She asks him if he’s staying and he says he doesn’t think it’s his call. So she says she needs to think about it.

She’s having a really hard time with this decision. The cocktail party is about to begin and it’s still weighing heavily on Kaitlyn’s mind… the decision she needs to make. Shawn asks her if she’s alright, she says no. Then she explains the situation. The mood completely changes and the guys are visibly pissed. Shawn B doesn’t feel that Kaitlyn must be very confident in what she has with him if she’s willing to bring Nick into it.

She leaves the tension filled room (actually they’re on a boat) and walks down the dock to where Nick is waiting for her. He immediately embraces her and they look very snugly considering they just met in person that day. He then kisses her. Ugh!! I don’t know if I should be rooting for him or against him. I had conflicting feelings about him during Andi’s season too! Kaitlyn tells Nick she wants to sleep on it.

Back on the boat, Tanner is very vocal about being upset that it’s Nick… not just any guy, but specifically Nick. Back at the hotel, there’s a knock on the door, date card #2: “Jared: Let’s reimagine the night we first met…” One on one date with Jared! The poor guy deserves it!

Kaitlyn re-enters the boat and Justin stands up and tells her that if she wants to add Nick, what’s one more? Basically if he (Justin) and Kaitlyn are meant to be then they will be. If she needs to sort this out and get it out of the way first, then by all means. Logically, Kaitlyn then gives the date rose to Justin. The other guys are still pretty upset… especially Tanner and Shawn.

The guys arrive back from the group date and they fill the other guys in on Nick possibly coming on the show. The guys who weren’t on the date are shocked. In the morning, Kaitlyn calls Nick, she tells him that she doesn’t want to talk to him on the phone and that it should be discussed in person at 3pm. She says she just needs someone to talk to. So she goes to get her hair done and it’s CRAZY ASHLEY S from last season!! Seriously?! Are we just having a full on Bachelor reunion here on this episode or what?!

Ashley informs her that it’s just lust and you have to have connection aside from that. Of course that just confuses Kaitlyn all that much more.

She meets up with Nick on the street. Kaitlyn tells him that she thinks she’ll regret it if she lets him go. She needs to be selfish because this is about her life and finding a husband. There is undeniable chemistry there. He is pretty cute… but I do question his character.

Jared’s date… they meet at The “Met’. Jared is in a tux and Kaitlyn is in a formal, beautiful dress. Kaitlyn says she’s feeling having a hard time even concentrating on Jared and feeling romantic. Kaitlyn brings up the Nick situation and Jared says no matter what happens, it doesn’t change how he feels toward her and they’ll get through it.

Date card #3: Ian, Chris, Joe, Joshua, and Ben H “Let’s Play”. Ben H and Joshua are excited and says “it’s a date, let’s have a good time!”

On Jared’s date he reads her a poem he wrote for her and she just melts. She then gives him the date rose. They get a card on the date and it says the date’s not over yet, that there’s a limo waiting to take them to the next date and it takes them to a helicopter! It circles the Statue of Liberty and buildings in NYC.

The next morning, Kaitlyn meets up with the guys in their hotel. She explains that Nick is going to be moving in that night and it’s just something that she needs to explore and that he will be part of the rose ceremony. The tension in the room is thick. She says under her breath that she does not like the energy in the room. Ben H’s attitude seems the most positive and sincere. He says they’re in NYC, they have a date, let’s just make it the best possible. How is this guy still single? He might just be my favorite.

Kaitlyn brings the guys to a Broadway theater. On stage is Aladdin and Jasmine performing “A Whole New World.” The guys are going to be put through a real Broadway audition. They will need dance, sing, and perform. The winning guy will perform live in front of the audience that night. The guys go through the choreography and then sing on stage while the director judges them. None of the guys can dance that well, but Chris and Ian definitely have the best singing voices. The director then announces that Chris won and will get to appear on stage on Broadway and continue the date with Kaitlyn. Joshua is having the hardest time with Chris winning.

Kaitlyn and Chris do their small part on stage (seriously, tiny tiny part) and she seems completely excited to be appearing on stage, but doesn’t seem as into Chris as he is into her. He seems a little “too much”, almost smothering, and she looks like she’s being polite and excited about the moment, but not necessarily that Chris is with her in it. After that, they go up this tall building and at the top is the New Years Eve ball. It’s pretty cool. She seems more into him at this point and maybe I misjudged the lack of chemistry between them.

At the guys’ hotel, Nick gets to the room and says, “what’s up guys?” and then the episode ends!!! As my husband said, “I don’t think she understands how this show works. You get rid of guys, not add them!” We’re frustrated at the lack of rose ceremonies in this episode! Ahhhh! The clip for next week reveals a few people who survived the cut, but I want to see some guys go home!!

The Bachelorette: Kaitlyn: Episode 4 Recap

At the end of last week’s episode we saw Kupah get rejected by Kaitlyn and begin to go off on the producers during his exit interview. Kaitlyn got up from her own interview inside the house to check on what was happening outside when she heard him yelling…. and that is where tonight’s episode starts off. Producer Elan ducks out of the way when Kaitlyn comes out. Kupah looks embarrassed that she’s out there and heard him. She tells him to accept it and to not go off on producers. Nothing is going to change her decision. She walks back to the house and Kupah says, “I honestly don’t even like her right now….” after he just got done telling her he doesn’t want to go home. Kaitlyn says in her interview “sometimes you find out a lot about somebody in 30 seconds… that just came out of nowhere.”

Time for the rose ceremony now…. the air in the room is heavy. The wind has kind of been taken out of everyone’s sails. Roses go to… Jared, Ben H, Shawn, Jonathon, Tanner, Chris, Ryan, Justin, Ian, Joshua, Joe, Corey, and Tony (ugh!!!!!). So Daniel and Cory are going home. I’m sad about Cory. I wish he was left instead of Tony!!

Next morning at the mansion, the guys are still asleep, and in comes sumo wrestlers on bikes. They tiptoe into the house and then begin yelling and banging a gong! The guys do not look happy. They gather in the living area where Chris Harrison introduces the Japanese men and informs the bachelors that they will be learning how to sumo wrestle today. One of the sumo men reads the list of names who will be going on the group date: Clint, Chris, Tony, JJ, Joe, and Shawn. They are then handed the sumo wrestling uniform which basically just looks like a really thick long cloth that they’re going to have to wrap around themselves. Kaitlyn calls them “thong, man diapers.” JJ says that Tony’s ass is non-existent. Why is he looking at another dude’s butt?

They begin the warm up exercises and Joe’s junk is hanging out the whole time. Kaitlyn says she’s seen all of his goods now. The sumo wrestlers demonstrate how it’s done. Then one by one they go up against one of the sumo guys and get their butts handed to them. Tony seems overconfident that he can actually take them. What is he thinking?? Tony just goes for it very seriously, but the sumo guy just kind of laughs at him as he keeps taking his best shots. He gets mad afterwards and just walks away. Kaitlyn goes after him and asks if he’s injured and Tony just ignores her at first. Tony explains that he just doesn’t like that every date there’s so much aggression shown and he’d much rather do something more peaceful and loving. He says, “I view the world through the eyes of a child, I have the heart of a warrior and the soul of a gypsy. Can’t we just do something fun? Why does everything have to show aggression?” She explains that she thought this would be fun and she doesn’t see it as violence at all. Just something fun to do and later they can sit down and talk and laugh about it. He says, “am I the only one that sees it this way? There are other ways to connect than through aggression and violence.” Seriously dude, no one at the house is more hostile than you right now. Wow, he is a nutcase. Kaitlyn is not taking this reprimanding well. He continues “can we not just go on a boat ride or go skydiving?”

Now JJ decides he needs to rescue Kaitlyn from this and begins to attack Tony. The guys then all get mad at JJ for adding fuel to the fire. Jonathon finally grabs Kaitlyn away from the situation. After she cools down a bit, she goes to talk to Tony and he’s still really upset. He just keeps saying, “I have a lot more to offer. I want you to see the real me. I want you to see the real me.” She finally hugs it out with him. Kaitlyn explains to the guys that they don’t have to do it, but she’s set up an exhibition for them and it should be fun.

The guys show up on bikes and in robes and Tony has decided not to come. She’s hoping that Tony’s getting his zen on back at the house. The guys disrobe in front of the whole audience. First is Joe and JJ and Joe wins!! Then Joe and Clint go… Clint annihilates Joe and shows off his wrestling skills.

Back at the house Tony says he’s just done. He’s not into the “who’s d*ck is the biggest” competitions. He doesn’t want to be a part of this and he packs his bags He says he’s not a quitter, he’s walking away on his terms, and he wants to explain himself to Kaitlyn.

He meets up with her in the evening part of her group date. He says he can’t participate in this circus anymore. He tells her it’s not her fault. I think at this point she’s thinking “good riddance!”

Chris takes Kaitlyn aside first and reassures her that he’s here for her. Meanwhile JJ remarks to the guys “she looks amazing in leather pants.” Clint says his strategy is to kind of hang back and if she wants to talk to him she can get him. JJ disagrees about taking that approach. Clint says, “if she cares about getting to know me more, I would expect she would put up a little more of an effort…” what a douche. I knew I didn’t like him. Don’t play games, just talk to her or don’t, but don’t be like that! “Hopefully it’s a priority for her.” She talks to JJ for a minute and then comes back to the group and sits next to Clint and he seems completely aloof. It’s so awkward! So then Shawn takes that as an opportunity to steal her away for a minute. Meanwhile, JJ reiterates that Clint is not making a good decision.

Shawn, aka Ryan Gosling lookalike, really lays it on the line with her and tells her that he didn’t know he could fall so fast. So Kaitlyn goes back to the guys and takes the date rose off the table and she presents it to Shawn. She said Clint disappointed her and even calls out Clint in front of everyone for ignoring her throughout the whole date. Clint says in his interview that he’s come to the conclusion that Kaitlyn’s probably not the girl for him, but he’s got good relationships with the guys, JJ in particular, and so he doesn’t want to leave. That’s so messed up!! Clint has a crush on JJ! He even calls him a “sweetheart.” This is definitely Brokeback Bachelor!

The next morning, Kaitlyn gets a date card from Chris Harrison explaining that this time he’s planned the date and to be prepared for anything. At the house, Ben Z, receives the date card as well… and is surprised it’s signed Chris Harrison. So they get in a limo and go to warehouse where Chris Harrison greets them. He explains to them that they’re about to go into an “Escape Room” (The Basement: Live Escape Room Experience)…. a dark, locked room, where they have to solve clues and figure out how to get out of it. My husband has been talking about this kind of thing for months and is very interested in Escape Rooms so I’m excited to watch this!

Kaitlyn is freaking out! She opens a door and a pigeon comes out. She screams and takes a few steps back into the starting room. She explains that she has a fear of birds. Ben Z says he’s going to walk in and make sure it’s okay. He’s trying to make her feel safe and protected. A message on the bottom of the screen says that the animals and insects have been added and are not normally part of this experience. This is some freaking stuff!! There is a man in the bed that is creepily beginning to move. They find several clues but are having trouble piecing it all together. They have 5 minutes left before gas is emitted in the chamber. Then snakes appear!! Are you kidding me?! They finally figure out the code for the computer and at the last second they were able to escape. Ben Z kept his cool the whole time except when the snakes appeared. Overall he did a good job being Kaitlyn’s protector.

After the date, they went to back to Kaitlyn’s place and ordered pizza and talked. Ben Z explained that he’s always felt like he needs to be the strong one like through his mom’s passing and such. He says he hasn’t cried in eleven years. He admits he has a hard time showing emotion.

Back at the house, date card arrives: Jonathon, Ben H, Joshua, Ryan, Jared, and Tanner “Let’s learn to love.”

Kaitlyn and Ben Z’s date ends with the two of them in the hot tub and she presents him with the date card.

Group date time! The gang arrives at a school and what the guys are about to find out is that they will be teaching sex education to a bunch of school kids. Each of the guys have a different sex ed topic that they need to cover. Joshua says he learned all he needed to know about sex ed he learned from watching their cows! Hilarious!

Back at the house, the bromance between JJ and Clint continues. They’re practically cuddling on the couch! They take showers together, go in the hot tub together, it’s a little weird!

At sex ed class, the guys fumble through it as best as they can. The kids are asking really hard or awkward questions. It is absolutely hilarious! Turns out though, the guys are being pranked and the kids are all child actors. Ben H has the reproduction topic and he explains to the kids about falling in love and being with a partner you trust. He did such an awesome job!! He was natural in front of the kids and confident.

Night portion of the group date. Joshua explains to Kaitlyn that he didn’t have his first kiss until college. Ben H explains that he’s worked in a youth center and goes to Honduras and works with kids there. He kissed her and dipped her on the rooftop. Hot!!!

Bromance continues back at the house with Clint and JJ. Clint even admits they’ve grown “maybe too close…. at times… in the room, and in the shower….” Red flag!! Clint says he has fallen in love with JJ! Wow! Interesting.

On the date, Kaitlyn is completely smitten with Jared. She says of all the guys, Jared is a MAN. But then she turns around and gives the date rose to Ben H. Jared seems a bit deflated even though he says he knows what they have is real.

Cocktail party… Clint says in his interview that he needs to get a rose from Kaitlyn to be able to spend more time with JJ. He takes Kaitlyn aside and he explains he didn’t have the balls to talk to her because the sumo guy tied his diaper on too tight. He says again that Kaitlyn isn’t the one for him, but he wants to fight to stay even more to stay with JJ. Wow, he is legit into JJ. The guys begin to warn Kaitlyn that there are guys there that aren’t there for the right reasons. Kaitlyn is believing them and she tells Joshua that he (Clint) won’t be around much longer. Kaitlyn says Clint played her. I wish they would have showed more of what the guys were telling her! Obviously we know the gist of it, but still seems like it would be interesting to hear the guys tell Kaitlyn exactly what it was. The episode ends with her grabbing Clint and telling him that they need to talk. Ahhhh again, to be continued…. Can’t wait for next week’s episode!! Also, Nick from Andi’s season shows up!! Oh this season is so good!!! So happy Kaitlyn is the Bachelorette!

The Bachelorette: Kaitlyn Bristowe – Episode 3 Recap

Tonight we get to know a little more about the guys and start to see the drama unfold. The episodes starts off by Kaitlyn saying over and over how excited she is to be the Bachelorette. Chris Harrison sits down with her at the house she’s staying at and they chit chat about the events of the night before when she found out the guys had chosen her over Britt and some of the connections she’s already feeling with the guys.

The guys move into their mansion and start to get settled in. Then we meet up with Britt at her hotel room crying on the phone with her mom about how she’s going to be coming home and she’s not the Bachelorette. Then there’s a knock at the door…. total shocker (not!) that it’s Brady! Britt is all smiley and happy to see him as she welcomes him in her hotel room

Back at the men’s house, Chris Harrison announces it’s the group date day. First date card: Daniel, Justin, Jared, Corey, Tanner, Kupah, Ben H, Ben Z. “I see the ending with a ring….” The date guys are taken away in a limo and they arrive at an old warehouse looking building. They walk in, and see Kaitlyn punching a punching bag and boxing away. Laila Ali is there to assist the men and teach them some boxing moves and put them through a workout. The guys are paired up with trainers to work on their moves. Kaitlyn notices that Kupah hasn’t given her any attention and he’s just really in the boxing zone. Kaitlyn says she forgot he was even on the date.

Now Laila explains they’re going to get in the ring and fight each other and one person will be crowned the champion. Outside is a boxing ring and of course an audience of screaming women watching. First fight is Ben Z against Daniel. Poor Daniel doesn’t stand a chance but they’re both really going at it punching each other. Ben Z easily wins. Fight after fight, each round these guys are really taking each other out. Down to the final round… Ben Z against Jared. Oh poor Jared. There’s no way he can win. Ben just annihilates Jared and Jared goes down. He looks like he’s seriously hurt and Kaitlyn is feeling bad. Jared got punched in the back of the head and is being checked out for a concussion. The medic tells Jared he needs to be sent to the hospital.

It’s evening time and seven of the eight guys are with Kaitlyn. She’s feeling bad that Jared’s in the hospital. First, she grabs Ben Z aside to get some one on one time with him. Kaitlyn says she’s really attracted to him and he’s just a “hunk of meat” but she wants to make sure there’s more there than that. They seem to have a good connection. He opens up to her about how his mom died of cancer when he was 14 years old and that forced him to grow up quickly.

She then sits down with Justin and they talk about his son. Then with Corey, who looks very old and too serious to me for her. While she’s talking with Daniel, Kaitlyn is handed a note and she whispers “okay, that’s weird” and looks stunned. She tells Daniel she doesn’t know what’s going on with this and she will return. The note apparently says “come downstairs right now, I need to see you.” She has no idea who it’s from. She goes outside and Jared’s out there! He explains that the doc has ordered him to rest and so he can’t visit, he could only swing by and see her for just a minute. He then kissed her and you could see the sparks. It was hot!

Date card #2 has arrived back at the house: “Clint, you take my breath away….” One on one date with Clint.

Back on the group date, Kaitlyn gives the date rose to Ben Z. The other guys are very disappointed. Kaitlyn says there is a comfortable energy between the two of them.

Kaitlyn and Clint go on the first one-on-one date of the season. She drives him to their destination in a vintage Mercedes. They pull up to this house with a pool and she informs him that they are going to do an underwater photo shoot. They get changed into formal wear and then the photographer goes over some breathing exercises with them. Kaitlyn’s having a hard time not plugging her nose once she goes under. Once they get going though they get more relaxed and share their first kiss underwater. Clint is attractive but doesn’t seem to have much depth/personality.

At the house the last date card arrives: JJ, Jonathon, Joshua, Chris, Ian, Joe, Tony…. “I’m looking for a man who will stand up for me.”

Back on Clint’s date, they’re dinner, he tells her that she took his breath away. Blah blah blah, it’s all pretty boring.

At the house, Tony is just very intense…. he doesn’t seem too interested in Kaitlyn. He keeps saying “surprise surprise, she knows who I am.”

Kaitlyn gives Clint the date rose and tells him that he brings out a romantic side in her. She seems over the moon for him, but I’m just not getting it. She said it’s her best first date she’s ever had.

Group date time and comedian Amy Schumer (reality TV fans may remember her from “Last Comic Standing”) has joined Kaitlyn at a comedy club. The guys arrive and JJ says he’s praying it’s stand up comedy because it’s secretly something he’s always wanted to do. JJ comes across as a total stalker creeper. His intensity is just…. ugh… too much. The guys are all super stoked to meet Amy Schumer. Amy informs them they will be performing stand up comedy at the show that night. The guys all tell lame jokes to try to impress, but Amy says she’s not too impressed. Amy brings in three other female comedians to help the guys out. The guys are having a hard time trying to come up with a standup routine. JJ says he thinks he’s too smart for 90% of the audience. Amy comments that JJ’s sweet, he’s just lacking charisma, humility, a sense of humor… but other than that he should totally be hired as the next Bachelor. haha! Love her!

Showtime! Ian is up first… he does a decent job! Then Joshua… he was much funnier than I expected! Chris, the dentist, seemed the most relaxed and did really well! He’s so darn cute! Now it’s Tony’s turn…. he’s super serious and thanking them for the opportunity to be able to get up there. Then the drunk Tony starts taking over and it’s just completely awkward!! He didn’t tell a single joke! I was hoping they would show JJ bomb, but they just showed him saying one line about Tony.

At the cocktail portion, Joshua talks to Kaitlyn and tells her he’s a “love virgin.” He’s never been in love. He’s super funny though and makes Kaitlyn laugh. Tony is to this season as Ashley S was to last season. Just says a bunch of nonsensical mambo-jumbo being pseudo-deep. It’s really annoying and you can tell it’s irritating the other guys. When he’s talking to Kaitlyn, he’s just talking at her and not with her. She has it written all over her face that she is tuned out, not interested, and probably a bit put off by what he’s saying. But he’s so self absorbed that he says in his interview that he now feels this strong connection with Kaitlyn and compares her to a combination lock. Wacko.

Kaitlyn talks to JJ about his three year old daughter and she says she’s really attracted to him when he’s talking about her daughter. They kissed and he says that he doesn’t think any of the guys will have a better kiss than they had. But then Joe takes her outside and immediately plants one on her. After their kiss he said “well I’ll be.” Kaitlyn cracks up and says “I thought people just said that in movies!!” Kaitlyn has a physical attraction with a lot of these guys. She ultimately decides to give the date rose to JJ though. Kind of interesting that Amy Schumer had the reaction she did to JJ and yet Kaitlyn still doesn’t see that side of him.

Cocktail party time! Kaitlyn addresses the guys and as soon as she’s done with her little speech, JJ snags her to the side to talk with her. He already has a rose! He should be stepping aside and letting the other guys get their time in. So naturally the guys are pretty ticked, Tony in particular. JJ informs her that he’s not there for the guys, he’s there for her. When he walks back in, he tells the guys “sorry, but not sorry.” He’s just completely smug.

When Ian has his chance to talk with her, he tells her about his car accident and everything that he’s been through. He seems like a genuine person. JJ’s arrogance has really upset Tony and now he’s starting to crack. Jonathon’s telling him to take a deep breath. Kupah is feeling like he’s the minority guy that’s filling a quota. He doesn’t know if she’s feeling anything for him yet or a connection. He talks to Kaitlyn about it and she calls him out for not paying more attention to her on the group date they were on. He’s talking in circles and kind of questioning her decisions. She ends up telling him that she felt a connection with him up until this point. She feels they’re just on different pages now. He then starts backpedaling and it’s just getting really awkward. He says he wants to stick around and she says she just needs to think things over.

So then he goes and tells the guys everything with a very loud voice and she can overhear everything he’s saying. She takes him aside and immediately says “you have to go.” He says he doesn’t feel like he deserves that and that’s fucked up. She handles herself really well as he then tells her he wants to stay, he thinks she’s sexy and beautiful. Kaitlyn explains there’s more to her than that, he says he likes those things too. She’s telling him it’s bad, and he says it’s not bad, he wants to stay. Finally she gets through to him and leaves. Out in the courtyard the producers try to do the exit interview and he gets very hostile and starts going off on them. Kaitlyn can hear him from where she’s doing her interview inside the house. She says, “oh my god, oh my god…. no, cause if he touches ____…..” and she walks out to the courtyard and then TO BE CONTINUED…… ahhh!!!

Update on Britt and Brady…. they’ve been hanging out every single day since he came to her hotel room. They’re officially boyfriend/girlfriend.

The Bachelorette Premiere Part 2 Recap: Britt vs Kaitlyn

Seriously the suspense is killing me! I haven’t been reading any spoilers and want to find out everything as it unfolds while it airs. So here we go with part 2 of the premiere of The Bachelorette 2015.

Out walks Chris Harrison and he greets Britt first. He informs her she will not be the Bachelorette. She’s stunned, speechless. Just keeps saying “wow.” Chris says the vote was really close and Britt says she doesn’t know if that makes it better or worse. Chris then walks her out to the limo. I still keep expecting some twist like all the guys who vote for her are in the limo waiting for her or something. Britt says in the limo “I didn’t see that coming at all.” She’s really upset and crying, like any girl would be. Even though I so badly wanted Kaitlyn, I do feel bad for Britt. That would be a hard thing to go through.

Back at the mansion Chris Harrison approaches Kaitlyn. He delivers the good news to her and she laughs and cries and then asks if Britt was okay. I thought that was a really classy move. Then Chris drops the bomb that she still has the rose ceremony to do tonight. Suddenly it becomes a lot more real to her. I think the first thing I would want to do is call my parents and best friend and then scream in the phone! You’d want to share that excitement with someone! I am so happy it’s Kaitlyn!!! The skeptic inside me thinks that the producers would have picked her regardless of how the men voted. I feel the majority of America does not want to see Britt as the Bachelorette. But that’s just based on what I’ve read on Twitter… no official poll was taken.

Oh so funny, so it comes back from commercial and she’s totally on the phone with her mom telling her the news!! I didn’t even know that would happen or that they would show that! haha. I’m glad she got to do that.

Chris then introduces the Bachelorette, Kaitlyn, to the group of men She gets a standing ovation! The men overall seem very excited and happy with this decision. She gets pulled aside one on one by the guys to get more time to spend with them. Chris delivers the first impression rose and the tension starts to get thick.

Tony, the healer dude, is having a hard time coping with Britt being gone. Jared sat down with Kaitlyn and told her the truth that he voted for Britt. However, he says that he’s happy Kaitlyn is the Bachelorette and he still very much wants to be there. He just felt like he needed to be honest about it.

Kaitlyn tells JJ that she’s really into him. He’s kind of a weird guy, I’m kind of surprised that she is. He’s very intense but in a strange way. But I guess she digs it! Chris “cupcake”, the dentist, is the first guy to make a move on Kaitlyn (okay, aside from Ryan, the drunk, in last night’s episode) and gives her a kiss. There’s definite chemistry there! Chris has been a frontrunner for me since he pulled up in his cupcake-mobile.

Kaitlyn pulls Shawn B, Ryan Gossling look-a-like, aside and presents him with the first impression rose. He is dead sexy. Whatever it is about him, he is probably the most attractive guy they have ever had on this show. I hope he has the personality to back it up.

Rose ceremony time!! Roses go to: Chris, Ben H, JJ, Joe, Kupah, Daniel, Ryan B, Joshua, Tony….. then Brady steps down and asks to speak to Kaitlyn. Brady says his heart is with the woman who left a couple hours ago. Chris Harrison says that he can hook him up with Britt and they walk off together. That seemed very set up. Oh well… gotta take it for what it is and just enjoy the show.

So rose ceremony continues…. Clint, Corey S, Jonathon, Cory F, Ben Z, Tanner, Ian, Justin, Jared. The guys going home are Bradley, David, and Shawn E (thank goodness!!!).

Ohhh in scenes from the upcoming episodes they reveal that Kaitlyn had sex with one of the men and (obviously) the other men don’t handle it well. She’s crying and saying she made a mistake and went too far with a man too soon. It’s going to be a great season!!! Also, Nick from Andi’s season shows up and looks like he’s around for a couple weeks at least. I’m glad they showed who it was and didn’t try to hide the face and make us guess who from what past season came back. It’s quite interesting!

New Season of the Bachelorette Premiere: Will it be Kaitlyn or Britt?

I have said it before, I’m not crazy about this season’s twist. In case you missed it, this season starts off with two Bachelorettes: Kaitlyn and Britt, and then the men will decide which Bachelorette stays for the season. These poor women, I don’t know why they would choose to put themselves through the possible rejection yet again on national television. This time they won’t be rejected by just one man, but several men. They’re once again begging to be picked. As Kaitlyn said on last season’s “After the Final Rose” episode, her reaction to this twist was “well that’s not ideal!”

With all that being said, I will agree it makes for deliciously good TV. Since the first promos I’ve seen, I have just been chomping at the bit for the season to start. The drama, the heartbreak, the awkwardness, the cheesiness… all of it… I cannot tear myself away from this show! Oh and for the record I’m completely rooting for Kaitlyn!!

So let’s get started! Chris Harrison explains the setup of this season that I described above. Then a quick montage of the two women on Chris Soules’s season of The Bachelor to remind us of their best and worst sides from the show. If you saw last season you’re quickly remembering Kaitlyn’s inappropriate jokes and Britt’s uncontrollable crying.

Now it’s time to meet the men!

Jonathon, 33 from Detroit, MI. Please don’t be crazy!! Every time they have someone on from my home state of Michigan, they’re absolutely nuts! (Kelsey Poe = Exhibit A). Has a 5 year old, Scott. He seems very down to earth and loving. He’s aiming for Britt at this point.

Joe, 28, Columbia, KY, Insurance Agent. Seems nice and genuine, but there’s something about him that makes me think he might be a party guy. We’ll have to see.

Josh, 27, Chicago, IL, Law school graduate, but to pay the jobs he does the “best job on earth”… stripper. No no no… he is not a guy you can bring home to your family.

Brady, 33, Nashville, TN, Singer/Songwriter. He gearing for Britt. He seems a bit shy, soft-spoken. As much as I love singers, they usually come across cheesy on this show. I hope he will be romantic without being cheesy.

Joshua, 31, Industrial Welder, ID, Kuna, ID. Looks a lot like Chris from Arlington, IA. Not a whole lot there. Super cute… has beautiful blue eyes. He’s interested in Kaitlyn.

Ian, 28, Executive Recruiter, Venice Beach/L.A, CA. Ran track at Princeton. Was hit by a car, was told he could not run again, but has rehabilitated his body to be able to do it. He’s super interested in Kaitlyn and feels she is genuine.

Jared, 26, Restaurant Manager, Warwick, RI. He says if he were a superhero he’d “go into this things as LoveMan”. Umm… what???! He’s going to rescue the bachelorette from all the evil men in the world. He wants to date Kaitlyn for her sense of humor. There is a major creep factor with him!!

Tony, 35, Healer, St Louis, MO. Specializes in “Flexibility therapy.” Describes himself as unique and antisocial at times. A very “Zen” dude. Likes to meditate.

Ben Z, 26, Personal Trainer, San Jose, CA. Ex-football player, tried out for the NFL. His mom passed away when he was 14 years old. He likes both Britt and Kaitlyn.

So we’ve met 9 of the guys so far in their hometown package interview. Now we’re getting to Britt and Kaitlyn arriving at the mansion and about to meet the men in person. It is so awkward and Britt is giggling and trying to act like “this is great! I’m fine! This process works! I’m excited!” and Kaitlyn is more real with it by showing her nerves, stating it’s going to be awkward, but she just wants to be herself and hope that that’s what the guys want.

First out of the limo is Ben H, 26, software salesman from, Denver, CO. He speaks for a moment to Kaitlyn, but then quickly goes to Britt and spends more time with her. He says in his interview later that Britt just took his breath away. Up next is my man Jonathon from Detroit! Goes straight for Britt and makes a connection with her. Then out comes Clint, 27, architectural engineer from Chicago, IL… again goes straight to Britt. Ryan B, Realtor, from Wellington, FL, comes out and says “hey Disney princess” to Britt. Blah!! Creepy Jared comes out, shows his LoveMan shirt under his suit, and goes straight to Britt. Kaitlyn keeps getting more and more insecure as the men seem to pass over her and go straight to Britt. This is torture to watch!! I can’t help but root for Kaitlyn! Such a crappy situation to be put in. (I realize she had a choice not to do the show at all, but seriously, humiliation or not, it would be hard to pass up the chance to be on The Bachelorette).

Brady, the singer, then gets out and says he feels like he’s a 7th grade dance. He the bee-lines it for Britt. Britt says she feels bad being so excited because Kaitlyn isn’t acting quite like herself and doesn’t seem as happy. Really? How is she supposed to feel happy in that situation?! Cory, residential developer, from Pearland, TX, gives a quick hug to Kaitlyn and then goes straight for Britt. Ian, the runner, tells Kaitlyn he’s looking forward to getting to know her and says something in her ear but I can’t quite catch what it was even after rewinding it. He makes it clear though that he’s there for her. Oh, turns out he said “I wanted it to be you.” Awww. JJ, former investment banker, is next up and cracks a joke with Kaitlyn that is similar to the one she cracked with Chris Soules on her first night on The Bachelor. Kaitlyn says this gives her hope that some of the guys are here for her. Ryan, M, junkyard specialist (what??), says he’s obsessed with Kaitlyn. Bradley and Daniel come out and make the girls laugh. Then stripper himself, Josh, comes out and starts working his stripper moves on the girls right away!! Kaitlyn laughs in her interview and says “Britt, you can HAVE this one!!” Seriously!

Joe, the insurance agent, goes straight for Kaitlyn and gives her some moonshine. She said it’s great. Justin, fitness trainer, has a bouquet of balloons and then sucks some helium and then speaks to Kaitlyn. Britt is now starting to get jealous with the guys that are giving Kaitlyn gifts and more attention than what she’s getting. But then Tanner comes out and gives Britt a gift… and brought her tissues in case she cries again, but she says it’s just a reminder that she was “the cryer” last season.

Shawn B, another physical trainer… Britt seems to have an instant attraction to. But THEN – plot twist – he goes to Kaitlyn and tells her that she’s the reason he’s here!! He’s got a Ryan Gossling look about him. Super cute! He walks inside and then Kaitlyn runs inside the house. She just tells them Hi and that she shouldn’t be much longer. Britt feels this wasn’t fair and was almost cheating in a way. I say all is fair in love and war!

David and Corey both come out of the limo and go straight for Kaitlyn and make her laugh. Britt is feeling more and more insecure. I’m sure Carly is at home saying “I love to watch her squirm!” (Love you Carly!) Then Tony, the healer, (who looks like he has a black eye) comes out and goes directly to Britt. He recites this speech about love, blah blah blah, then goes directly to Kaitlyn and says word for word the same speech!!! Hilarious!

Meanwhile, inside the house, Ryan M is getting really drunk and inappropriate. Loud, annoying, and aggressive.. not fun.

Then this dude, Shawn E, who is an “amateur sex coach” pulls up in a hot tub car or “car pool” if you will. The entire car is a hot tub!! This guy is soaked. But THEN the even better part is that Ryan M comes out and says “Your car sucks!!” Kaitlyn says if there was a worst impression rose she would give it to Ryan M.

Then a guy comes out in a cupcake!! A cupcake-mobile. And it’s surprisingly fast! It’s Chris, a dentist. He says he wanted to do something sweet for the ladies.

Chris Harrison then greets the ladies and tells them that the men will decide tonight who stays and who goes. Britt was nodding so fast and so much that I thought her head was going to fall off! I find her to be so fake.

So the girls walk into the house for the cocktail party and Kaitlyn immediately says she is going to start off with a joke. “Knock-knock” (who’s there) “Two Bachelorettes” (two Bachelorettes who?) “That’s the joke!” and starts laughing. Britt says this is the opportunity to voice what you’re here for and that’s what’s different between her and Kaitlyn. Britt tells the guys she’s there to find a best friend. Kaitlyn is super nervous. Ian makes the first move with Kaitlyn and calls her outside to talk. So the guys each sit down with either Kaitlyn or Britt and try to make the most of their time. I believe it’s Corey who asks the guys “now do you pick the girl you like the most or do you pick the girl who likes YOU the most, because at the end of the day, that’s what matters. That’s how you’re going to stay longer.” But it’s not about staying a long time it’s about finding true love! Duh!! 😉

Chris Harrison announces that the voting boxes are now open and once the guys have an answer as to who they want as the Bachelorette, they can vote by placing a rose inside the woman’s box of their choice. Tony, without Chris even finishing his speech, heads straight for the voting room to vote for Britt.

So the women now feel like they have to prove themselves to the men and Britt starts clamming up and having a hard time carrying on a conversation with the men. Once she gets more comfortable though, she’s really good at flirting with the men and making them feel safe and comfortable. This is such a nail biter!

Ryan M is plastered drunk and being inappropriate…. almost getting in fights with the guys. Then he grabs Kaitlyn’s butt and the men get more upset with him. Then he strips and gets in the pool…. because that’s what drunk guys do. So obnoxious. After a few more antics, a bouncer looking guy comes out and tells Ryan that Chris Harrison would like to speak with him. Chris tells Ryan that it’s best if he goes home because he’s clearly not there for the right reasons. Okay, I understand that him touching Kaitlyn’s butt was crossing the line and maybe he should be cut from the show because of that, but how many sloppy drunk women did they let fly through last season for the first several episodes? They clearly weren’t there for the right reasons either, why did they keep them around? I wish that Chris would have stated it was because he touched Kaitlyn’s butt and that wasn’t appropriate. But oh well. The annoying drunk guy is gone! Chris addresses the men and says it was for a myriad of reasons, including inappropriate behavior with Kaitlyn.

The men continue to vote and it just seems so even between Britt and Kaitlyn! Shawn and Kaitlyn further their connection. Shawn shares a picture his nephew drew for her of Shawn and Kaitlyn together. Then Brady and Britt share a connection, or a fake connection. Ugh… if she’s chosen I’m not sure I can handle a whole season of her fakeness. Brady “So I prayed…” Britt “Oh! Is faith important to you? No way!! ME TOO!!” So fake.

Chris Harrison announces that all the votes have been cast and now they need to tally them. And now I just KNOW they’re not going to tell us tonight which Bachelorette was chosen!! I can just feel it! Not much time left in the show. Yup… TO BE CONTINUED…… you’re killing me, smalls!!

Survivor Second Chances – Did CBS reveal a spoiler when announcing possible cast?

Just finished tonight’s episode of Survivor: Worlds Apart and Jeff Probst made a huge announcement about next season! The cast will be chosen by America!! Woohoo!! Fans will choose ALL 20 of the castaways from previous seasons of Survivor to vie for the title of “Sole Survivor” once more as they will receive the ultimate second chance. Survivor fans can go to http://www.cbs.com/survivorsecondchance to vote from a list of 32 preselected past survivor castaways for who they would like to see in the new season. However, one GLARING (possible?) mistake was that in this list were Carolyn Rivera (“Mama C”) and Mike Holloway who are still appearing in THIS season and have not been voted off yet. To me, that’s huge evidence (and spoiler) that they do not win and probably do not even place in the top 3. What are your thoughts?

So many of these women have been so forgettable it’s hard to choose! But my gut on who I would vote for is as follows:

Kelly Wiglesworth (this is a MUST!!), Kass McQuillen, Abi-Maria Gomes, Mikayla Wingle (I think??), Keith Nale, Joe Anglim (he was robbed this season!!), Spencer Bledsoe (had a love-hate relationship with him last season but I think he made things interesting and played well), Vytas Baskauskas….. and possibly Mike Holloway from this season. Since he’s become an underdog he’s been more likable.

Who’s got your vote and do you think CBS gave away some spoilers?

UPDATE!! After watching the videos on the above link of each contestant I’d also like to add Ciera Eastin. She was awesome when she was on Blood vs Water with her mom. I just didn’t recognize her in the picture! I highly recommend watch the videos! Also, it should be noted I’m only voting for Abi-Maria because she’s psycho and it will be make it fun.

UPDATE #2: Jeff Probst had this to say in an EW interview:

You are calling this twist “Second Chance,” and you clearly mentioned it’s for people that did not win the first time around. But you have two people in Mike and Carolyn that are still in contention for the current season airing. By having them be potential contestants in a second chance season, isn’t that a huge spoiler in big neon letters that they do not win this season?
Oh my God, I didn’t even think of this! You’ve just caught me off guard! [Laughs] As you would expect from Survivor, we found a way to add a little twist, a little layer of mystery, into the Second Chance voting. So the definition of Second Chance is, contestants who have only played once and never won. So, that means either Mike and Carolyn both lost, or one of them could be, ultimately, ineligible.

The Challenge: Battle of the Exes 2 Finale RECAP – See who won!!

MTV’s The Challenge Season 26 (!!!!) Battle of the Exes 2 is coming to a close and I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed this season! In the final is Sarah and Jordan, Jay and Jenna, and Leroy and Theresa (after Nia was ejected from the game last week for inappropriately touching Jordan). At the end of last week’s episode, we saw the teams about to jump from their helicopters to start the final race up Mt Slogen, passing through checkpoints with various tasks along the way. Jordan and Sarah got to choose the order and naturally they chose themselves to jump out of the helicopters first.

Jordan and Sarah get the clear from the helicopter pilot to jump and in the water they go and start swimming towards their kayaks. Followed by Jay and Jenna jumping and then Leroy and Theresa. It is quite the swim to the kayaks and Leroy isn’t doing so hot. He is not a great swimmer. Sarah and Jordan are first to the kayaks and take off. Sarah reminds us that she used to weigh over 200 lbs and Jordan was born without a hand… they have something to prove. Jay and Jenna get to their kayaks and take off and Leroy and Theresa are way behind and are having a hard time paddling their kayak. Theresa starts panicking. Sarah and Jordan get to the checkpoint first where they’re told they need to change clothes into running gear. Jay and Jenna are past the checkpoint as well now and the two first teams are on the path running while Leroy and Theresa are just getting to the first checkpoint. Hard to tell how much time has actually lapsed between the teams.

Checkpoint #2: “Mind Games” Unscramble the 5 word sentence to continue with the game. Jordan and Sarah figure out the puzzle before the other teams are even around “You Will Respect The Trolls” is the answer. Leroy and Theresa have now PASSED Jay and Jenna on the path. Jenna’s having a hard time running and keeping up. Last two teams are now at the puzzle and Theresa was able to figure out their puzzle without TOO much of an issue. Jay and Jenna are just completely braindead staring at the puzzle.

As Jordan and Sarah are running along the path, they’re coming across cows, sheep, and other obstacles they need to get through. Sarah just keeps saying “Oh this is so beautiful!” She’s doing a great job at staying positive. But now they’ve come to the 3rd checkpoint and it’s a drinking challenge. “Don’t flip your lid” First they each have to drink this tall glass of this nasty orange junk. Then they have to try to flip a coaster on to the remaining glasses of orange junk. They get three tries at each glass. Jordan misses all three times, he has to drink. Sarah misses all three times for the next glass, she has to drink it. They’re drinking glass after glass and getting sick. They had to drink all 8 glasses but they complete it before Leroy and Theresa get there. Meanwhile, Jay and Jenna have timed out on the 2nd checkpoint and never completed the puzzle. They’re able to move on to the next checkpoint now.

Leroy and Theresa are now at the 3rd checkpoint and having to drink each of the glasses. Theresa is having a really difficult time. Meanwhile Jenna is still having trouble running and complaining that she’s tired which is frustrating Jay. Leroy are finally through the drinking challenge and Jay and Jenna are almost to it. I hate these kind of challenges where the contestant puke all the time! It’s not fun to watch!! Why do they do this to these people?! Jay and Jenna can’t even get through their first glass. Jay can’t stop throwing up from the very first glass. ugh!! TJ comes up and says if they can’t get it down, they’re out. Jay starts crying. He decides they’re not going to continue so they’ve been disqualified. Jay says they’re leaving as friends, Jenna says she still hates him. Jay’s crying and saying “do you know how much shit every woman and everyone on Twitter is going give us?” …. and they flash their twitter addresses on the screen! Love it!! @JayGMTV and @JennaCompono .

Jordan and Sarah make it to Checkpoint #4. “Pick up 5 rocks and carry them to your next checkpoint.” They get to the next checkpoint “Get Your Rocks Off: You must stand behind the line and toss 5 rocks into the hole in order to move on. You must alternate throws. If you miss, you must run back to the rock pile, collect more rocks and try again until you land 5 total. Couples must consume a tube of local caviar before beginning each round.” Oh so gross!!! Jordan and Sarah miss their first rock tosses and have to run back to the rock pile. On the way back from the second trip to the rock pile, Leroy and Theresa have now caught up to them. Sarah and Jordan consume their second doses of caviar and just throw up all over. They toss the second set of rocks and miss but they hit their 30 minute time limit and are able to move on.

Checkpoint #5: Jordan and Sarah obviously get to it first and there are Bikes waiting there for them. Leroy and Theresa have hit their 30 minute max and have begun running towards Checkpoint 5. Jordan and Sarah are just flying on their bikes to try to gain even more of a lead. But once it starts to go uphill Sarah is struggling and keeps throwing up. Leroy and Theresa are now on their bikes and Theresa is struggling as well. Sarah finally gets her composure and gets back on her bike. They park their bikes and they have to their next checkpoint. “Rest Stop. You must take your place together either on top of your bed or on team zone next to the fire.” The sun is setting and Leroy and Theresa have now made it to the resting spot. The teams try sleeping but it’s only 10 degrees now and they just have a tiny “bed” to sleep on.

Morning comes and TJ arrives and tells them that Jay and Jenna are out of the game. TJ tells them they now will scale Mt Slogen which is 5200 feet up. TJ tells them that Jordan and Sarah will receive a 5 minute lead. FIVE MINUTES?! That’s it?! After kicking butt the whole day before and showing up to the last checkpoint waaay ahead? That’s just mean. Sarah breaks down because she’s so exhausted and freezing. But they take off like champs. Leroy and Theresa are determined to catch up with them though once they take off five minutes later. They are scaling this mountain though and they are so high and there is nothing to catch them if they fall. I would freaking pass out. Jordan and Sarah made it first though!! They won!!!! The challenge underdogs made it!! $250,000 is theirs!! Leroy and Theresa weren’t all that far behind though. They freaking climbed a mountain without any gear. That’s just nuts. The four of them did an amazing job! Sarah and Jordan were a great pair together even though I don’t care all that much for Jordan, I really love Sarah. I’m so happy Sarah won!!!
